@catdogcirca1990s Yea man I honestly did. I really tried to get into MBDTF but I just couldnt connect with it. I liked the beats on WTT but didnt like any of the lyrical content. It seems like Jay and Kanye are just running out of stuff to talk about other than how rich/cool they are. I mean I know after all these albums they cant keep rapping about the same thing that they used to rap about but it just feels so unoriginal.

There is a lot more than just money and how cool they are on WTT..and for MBDTF i really suggest u give it another chance its a great disc but if u dont like it its fine...trying reading the lyrics while the song is going itll help catch the meaning better....i personally think 808s is kanyes worst work (still good thats how good kanye is)

Man, this song right here is monumental! To make the melody that is to be spoken over, Kanye West didn't do much, all he did was sample it and slow that down a bit. But, when Common gets on down on it, the whole thing becomes a spectacular work of art!. Not sure why this was on Kanye West's album and not Common's, but I am glad that it ended up somewhere where it could be heard, and appreciated, by the masses:)

try palying samples and see if its easy. Sampling is for people who got ears like Djs. You got to be able to chop and put the piece you want to sample in the right tempo. And still you have to add your own drumkit to the beat. So look it up before you judge bro. Sampling is a art.

Yeah Kanye West is an asshole for sampling this song. If he had actually covered something hot like The bottle or the Revolution will not be televised that would be awesome. I hate the elitest attitude of people who don't understand sampling. In fact sampling is a literary technique called an allusion.
