not at all, 2x2x2 can be solved exactly like a 3x3x3, solve the first layer, then line up one corner on the top by rotating the top, do U R U' L' U R' U' L, if they aren't all in the right place ( not always flipped the right way ) do it again, then just use R' D' R D to flip them

Lomac666: First off, I said U R U' L' U R' U' L and Second: its a begginers method algorithm used to switch around the corners of the last layer in which you then "rotate" the corners using R' D' R D, hope that helps :)

The 3x3 is "easy" to me, I've never even held a 2x2. I guess the solution for it would be different from that to the 3x3 and you wouldn't be able to just use the 'corner formulas' to solve it...

fridich method is the advanced way of solving the cube, much faster.

it has 3 phases, f2l, oll and pll.

f2l is first 2 layers, u solve the first 2 layers simulataneously, hence saving time.

oll is orienting the last layer, which means tht u get all the stickers of the last layer on top, pll is permuting the last layer, meaning getting the stickers (cubees) in the right places

Well b4 u learn fridrich u should learn keyhole then learn fridrichs fridrich is f2l oll and pll but PLL is Permute Last Layer OLL is Orient Last Layer Fridrich is not easy to learn i dont even know it yet i use f2l and 2 look oll and 2 look pll . Fridrids method is not easy to learn though oll is 57 algorithms and pll is 21 algorithms
