What's sad is that when the Cubs were starting out they were elite. After the 1930's they ended up being soo crappy and a consistent bottom feeder in the league for nearly 30 more years. That will do it! Not to mention then you have maybe 1 or 2 great seasons per decade and then completely fall out. Absolutely aweful management both by the Wrigley's and Tribune company. I'm more optimistic now as a Cubs fans. I just hope they practice what they preach.
