@protox4 it uses coils to produce magnetic energy that is on a frequency that doesnt interfer with other objects this is picked up by the reciever in the back and turned back into electrical energy. this kind of power transfer was started by tesla google him. there is a company making just wireless adaptors for tv's and the like that i heard about that dont need the matt it has enough energy to go across from an outlet.
