  • lol "He'll most likely get a D" that was me D:

  • @timekeeper1ONUTUBE Did collAge teach you how to spell?

  • did ya jus SCRATCH UR BALLS at the starting? lol

  • University dropout. Went to a technical college for two years instead, working summers to pay off tuition. Now I'm debt free, and making as much as any honors major would make. People really need to consider their options, and pursue the things they actually enjoy doing. Don't believe the prestigious hype, look out for yourself and your future first.

  • @Thepiratejoe

Honors is funny to me. Telling people to aim higher! I took honors classes in college, and it's bullshit. They make people think that just because you took an honors class you have special privileges and you are better than everyone. Honor students and NHS students are no better than anyone else.

  • When you are deaf like me you have to college. Many times the deaf cannot get even menial work without a degree. Its just the way society is because a lot of people, especially employers, still treat the Deaf like they are dumb and stupid.

  • The problem is we have been told with all the damn fear mongering to boot that Higher Education is the End All, Be All to success, but we're finding out that all it is, is more societal propaganda,The only ones who are successful at that game is The Education Racketeers and the Politicians who endorce Higher Education which is most of them.

  • @Airsoftcleaner :l hells yeah!

  • Teacher bias exists along with the housing and book scams. All of these youtube comments are legitimate too. I just withdrew after two years of college. I used to think people saying these types of things were just bitter and stupid, but that is not true. Work experience is most valued for ANY job. A person with 1 year of wawa experience will be hired at wawa over a person with a college degree. They dont want to train you and you are getting minimum wage.

  • I made a video that speaks about the sillyness of education as well. It's titled: "Education: What are we doing?". Short video but brings so much common sense into it that it's almost undeniable, we need a change. I am tryin to spread thee message of this video to awaken humanity and open peoples eyes just as this video has openes other peoples eyes.

  • skip to 2:50 to skip his babble.

  • @rushmanzero - PhD's in civil and masters in mechanical engineering and no job.

IT is pure LOGIC if you do not have well developed industries You will not be able to work in those fields. Few Jobs that are available have been taken.

Made in CHINA - Everything is Made in CHINA They RULE THE Goods MARKET

I have seen Salmon in USA markets sign Produce of China

China 2010 become The Largest producer of Cargo Ships on the Planet.

  • @aviomaster I couldn't agree more.

  • u look like somebody who stands on the corner in sanfran and sux dick for a livin...

  • we need to encourage people to attend more vocational schools or secondary options and not simply college, since it in fact isn't for everyone

  • You take to long to start !

  • If college really is a waste of time and money...,Somebody please answer this:

What are better alternatives to college? Im a senior in high school, about to graduate in June. So naturally I need to make some crucial decisions....

  • Pttt . . . My textbooks averaged $300/quarter. I read in a news article somewhere that some professors are also offered "incentives" *cough* "bribed" by publishing companies into requiring certain costly books for their courses.

It's pretty bad that a college education for many costs most than a luxury car.

  • 1) live at home 2) rent texts instead of buy 3) intern during summer really major issues are solved.

  • i wish i could drop out of business school.

i hate this damn FAFSA scam artists

  • DON'T GO TO COLLEGE JOIN THE MILITARY!! I KNOW NOW YOU THINK THE MILITARY IS A BITCH TO GET THROUGH BUT THEY'LL TEACH YOU REAL WORLD SKILLS INSTEAD OF JUST PUMPING YOU THROUGH THE SYSTEM LIKE COLLEGES DO TO GET $!! JUST TOUGHEN UP A LITTLE BIT AND JOIN, YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU DID

  • Occupation skill, realworld job, and connections is all you need. If your employer pays for you to be educated that is another story.

  • Anyone who talks sjhit about college is just too stupid to go lol.

  • UltraDOG17:

You don't have to put you parent's info. There's a drop down thing on the first page that asks of you're an independent student. If you say yes, you're basically saying that youre paying for college by yourself. I had to do the exact same thing, and I'm getting 16,000 in student aid. America is not scamming us for money xD we're lucky we even get help at all. Double check your paper work next time.

  • i hate this FAFSA bullshit

im an grown man, 21 & planing to have my OWN apartment.

yet, these crooked ass bastards wanted my parents infomation.

the government is an sorry joke of AmeriKKKa.

that's how i felt on finicial aid.

college is an fraud & only go there if you RICH!

  • I think US Army pvts get paid more a month than college grads

  • College is a waste of time and money. I know 2 ppl that graduated from the same college that I'm current;y going to (and btw I'm leaving in 1 week) and even though it's been 7 months since, they still haven't found no jobs with their field. And I know another friend who graduated from same school as they did around the same time who got a job 4 months later, but he tells me that he hates it becuase he only gets paid like only $300 a months only. I was stupid enough to be trapped by this scam.

  • Textbook pricing = many illegal drugs

  • college is BULLSHHT. i only did a semester, left because of financial aid problems, wasted a WHOLE load of money on books and other stuff, im back home in $14,000 worth of debt, im only 18 can't get a damn job, yet although im in debt im glad i dropped out. much happier, home cooked food, saving money. it doesnt mean im stupid, i graduated with a 3.6 in highschool im pretty smart and have common sense, and my commen sense is telling me to save my gotdamn money. screw college.

  • @lilnycshawty1586

Good point. college and university don't care about the student future. All they care about is making money from the students who is enrolled in their school.

Another thing, you don't need to have a college degree to be successful in life. Look at Bill Gates for example, he have to dropped out of college so that he can focus on his business.

  • I'm a Columbia alumni. My tuition was $17,000 per semester. I graduated with MS degree. I've been unemployed for 2 years. Now I have a mountain of debt. I threw away my money and youth to study. Now I can't qualify for welfare, food stamps, unemployment. I'm fucked. BTW I'm loosing all my stuff, and i'm going to be homeless. Don't be a sucker sheeple! Through tuition hikes--You're paying for the pensions and entitlements and lining the pockets of politicians. Thank you and merry x-mas.

  • Boring.

  • then you need to change the name of your video! DUH! DUH!

  • I dropped out of college the day I had to go to a two hour seminar on how to successfully shake hands.

  • @maggso0 FUCK O,o. I'm in college now myself mate. I'm really thinking about dropping out. I shall see. I'm going to go on a journey through America for spring break. Maybe ill find my calling because college is not helping me. College is not the diverse establishment that i, we, have been told. It is, at least to be (one of the many things it is) a breeding ground for idiot leftists. Im basically staying in due to my parents (don't want to disappoint) and fear.

  • In my experience, if you have to question yourself if you want to go to college, you should not go. Also, I can attest to the fact that colleges are just HUGE money making machines. My school required a course called "Counseling 20" which basically is a welcome to college class with tons of busy work and it's own custom textbook. I dropped the course early but took it again this year only to find out the course is no longer required! Basically the class was a quick money making scheme!

  • What's everyone think of the new book "You Have A College Degree, Now What?" Anyone have any feedback on this new book so far?

  • College is a joke for people without guidance. But, if you have ambitions it is a great tool to a better future. My sister, for example, didn't need to go to college -because she didn't utilize her English degree. I'm however, in med school and most definitely did need to go to college. Bottom line is that if you don't know what you want to do with your life, don't go to college wishfully thinking that you'll get pooped out the back door in 4 years with a degree and a $70K job.

  • Wait, you wrote that book? Cool.--Lol oh wait, I just realized the joke. :-D

  • Wish I had gone to a vocational school and not college.

  • I"m thirty years old. About seven years ago I graduated from drexel university with a bachelors in engineering. Ten years ago, I heard the same b.s. I heard all the great possible salary's and jobs. HOwever, when I checks on my own I found few jobs with pay far less than claimed. Who's fault is it for not doing your own research?

  • People, no matter how much you study, your knowledge is of limited value if you have no plan to organize it for the purpose of making money. Hill wrote about this topic in his book "Think and Grow Rich." College professors are not wealthy business people. If they were, would they be there? There are exceptions. However, like majoring in film, few people will ever find any jobs in that field. Without good connections, you can forget it. Companies want people who can make them steady money.

  • wow. already a prima donna.

  • The education system in the U.S is nothing more then just another business. The sellers brainwash their potential buyers with propaganda and the like. If you don't get that degree you will be working in fast food forever.. Just like the medical industry, real estate, car dealerships, etc.. Bunch on vampires praying on good people and their money.

I have a Bachelors degree and a Masters degree, both are bs. Not in debt, but certainly working as a gardener and a gym keeper ain't paying!

  • @jaxzurr a degree is just like any type of training, you should only do it if you think it will be worth it for getting the job you want. if you pick something you like without thinking about the job prospects then yes, it is pointless going to uni. the only reason people should go to uni is for training to get a job they want. its not a scam, its just that people are so stupid they think they can get a degree in anything and automatically get a good job

  • @AussiePolitics I respectfully disagree. Life is about more than working and making money. Sure, one should make purposeful decisions with the future in mind. However, I thought I was going to be an artist but kept an open mind about my major when starting out in college. I discovered that I LOVE computer science and how much the world of technology overlap with the world of art. So I got my B.S. in CompSci and now I'm going for my M.S. and possibly a Ph.D. depending on research ... (continued)

  • @SimoneRobinHill ,

I TAKE IT YOU LIVE WITH YOUR PARENTS!! ALOT OF PEOPLE GO TO COLLEGE TO GAIN THAT "SELF WORTH" THAT THEY DIDN'T GET AT HOME. IT IS A LOAN TRAP, ANOTHER LOAN FOR A CAR, LOAN FOR A HOUSE, LOAN FOR YOUR CHILDRENS EDUCATION - CIRCLE OF DEBT.

  • @savvy1954 Unless you can get the funding for it. I haven't taken out a loan for school. I've been able to pay for everything through financial aid, scholarships, grants, book vouchers, etc. There is alot of ways to pay for school out there. You don't have to bury yourself in debt. And no, I don't live with my parents. I don't appreciate the rudeness. College is not right for everybody but its not a total scam either if you're seeking research.

  • @AussiePolitics College can also be about discovering who you are and what you really want to do. Its extremely silly to expect an 18 year old kid to really know what they want to do in life when the only education they've gotten so far is high school. Much of the first year or two in college is a mixed bag of classes intended to open your mind, teach you how to think objectively and expose you to different fields of study so that you can get exposure and background needed for these decisions.

  • @SimoneRobinHill ,

well you should tell that to BILL GATES, FACEBOOK ENTREPENEUR, YOUTUBE (TWO COLLEGE DROP OUT), WARREN BUFFET.

  • @SimoneRobinHill If you are going to college, you have already figured you want to work after college in your field. Only what happens is you have worked hard in college and paid for it. Now you are expecting to work hard and get paid. Not happening today enough for videos and comments like these to be rampant on the internet.

  • @SimoneRobinHill That is fine for you to get your Ph.D but you cannot expect people to feed their families w/ college degrees any more.Congolese Proverb: You're beautiful but you must learn how to work for you cannot eat your beauty.Replace that with beauty with intelligence if you come from working class.

  • I like your hair bro

  • My cousin and her husband is in 300k debt total, both are Doctors. But not making that much in return. How long do you think it's going to take them to pay back, 50 years?

  • @ferrari4sale you mean medical doctor or doctorate in something?

  • @LokBuddha Medical.

  • @ferrari4sale depends what type of doctors they are. They owe about $150,000 each but if they're both earning separate doctors salaries they'll be making a dickload of money

  • The American system is designed to keep us in debt plain and simple! They sell us a dream and there's just not enough for everyone. Whether it's College, Credit cards, a Mortgage...We are meant to pay someone something until the day we die...and sometimes even after that as a burden left on our family. It's EVIL and I hope these Elitst's burn in hell.

  • @atlasshrugged2u

Agreed. I've wasted my time in college. Now, I owe my loan people thousands.

  • @reesescupbrandy1 What was your Major?

  • @atlasshrugged2u

Business Administrations. I know.. I know..

  • Haha nice book

  • MY father told me college is only good if you can go for free. Here in GA we have the Hope scholarships funded by the number/stats-illiterates that play the lotto. I have a Bachelor's in Management from Georgia State and the most I have made in the past 4.5 years is 13.75/hr. The scary part is that I'm a white guy with solid credit , work history and no criminal record. THAT IS THE NEW AMERICA FOR YOU!!!

  • @meinside99 yep! I didnt need to go, what i do is related to my degree, but i didnt need a degree to do it! Scam! Think about this, look at the majority of millionairs in America most of them are drop outs or never went! Look at Dave Thomas (wendys ower) he didnt even finish high school, he went to college in his 50's! i dont live in Ga, but i know at Ga Perimeter you can go to college for free if your 50 and up? Thats the way to go!

  • college is s SKEL factory. thats why we live in a third world shit hole.

  • I hate degree requirements that have nothing to do with my career choice.

  • i think trade school is better than college

  • Real world experience is the best educator

  • @DaMostEnigmatic Real world experience is essential and extremely overlooked. But, to have a balanced society, science must also be in tandem for a civilization to achieve social progress. Of course, if we are looking to not progress technologically in the fields of medical, transportation, and engineering, then real-world experience *would be the only means necessary.

  • I sure don't need college. I figured it out early.

  • right, college is a big, ritualistic ripoff. The liberal arts side of it, especially, is quite divorced from the real world. Hey kid - if you want a great book about how awful professors are, check out "Profscam" by Charles Sykes, written in the late 80s i think but a powerful expose of profs who work 8 hours a week and get paid megabucks

  • @decimated550

College is supposed to be divorced from the real world. 4 year colleges are set up to impart knowledge away from the hustle and bustle of real world.

Also, many college students are working their way through school which is "real" enough for them should you ask any.

Professors don't make megabucks.College coaches make that kind of money-7 figure paychecks-although most tenured profs do okay.

The only thing you get from college is a degree, the rest is up to you.

  • Remember, a lot of kids look through those catalogs and wanna major in history, english, dance, which is fine, but tracking into something vocational: medicine, computers, biz, engineering, other skilled trades, will result in better payoffs at the end. Remember - there are many kids 60,000 in debt who can tell you alot about english literature, and with little chance of a good job. Many kids who are earning 40,000 in dental hygiene who are only, say $14000 in debt.

  • I think you are making a fine point-about vocational and trade schools.

Again, the reality is that traditional 4 year schools are not set up to teach job skills or vocational tech subjects.

My view is that you want a skilled trade, you need to go to a trade school. I went to a small college and studied English but I was realistic about getting a good job out of college.

It depends on what you want to study and what career you want. That's a personal choice.

  • Comment(s) marked as spam. More like comment(s) marked as non-comformity.

  • college is a scam I wanna own a college campus just to watch suckers throw money in my pockets haha and above all that for ppl who wanna be pharmacists (still have no idea why they are getting paid well mean while i can just hustle pills in the street and make just as much $, only diff is that pharmacy is legal LOOL) anyways I wanna own a pharmacy and watch all the suckers who worked like 6 yrs to become one work for me meanwhile all i had to do is acquire a license for the pharmacy LMFAO.

  • stupid nigger

  • hahaha u are way off in race but good try...

  • Hahaha! "10k for housing in this space, and I get to share with a room mate?" Priceless. 3:03

  • I agree with everything you've said in this video. My parents both got PhD's in civil and masters in mechanical engineering at the University of Colorado at Boulder. They haven't ever been able to use their degrees and my dad works at Home Depot while my mom hasn't been able to get a job. I am going to the same university and I know I am bullshitting myself. All my parents got from college is a nice cut from their paychecks to pay back all the debt they owe to CU... It's ridiculous. . .

  • @rushmanzero That sucks man, hope you and your family gets better jobs in the future.

  • @skatebboard Thanks man, we always find a way. appreciate the heart though

  • @rushmanzero,

Most employers are looking for EXPERIENCE!! these days EVERYBODY AND THEIR MOMMA HAS A COLLEGE EDUCATION (TO INCLUDE ONLINE DEGREES) SAVE YOUR MONEY GET AN ASSOCIATE DEGREE AND SIGN UP FOR FOREIGN LANGUAGE, AND THREE VOCATION SCHOOL CERTIFCATION COURSES = 90% HIRE

  • @rushmanzero HOLY CRAP! They have PHDS? Wtf? That's just a freakin' scam. Man, wow. Man, I'd just go to vocational school and learn on blue-collar stuff. Makes a ton of money. Yeah, you won't sit at a desk, or have to deal with Corporate America.

  • @rushmanzero

    LMAO

Something must be seriously wrong with your parents. Are they educated morons?

I am a junior in the accounting department and I already have a great job. Better than anything at a home depot besides that general manager.

  • @FutureCACPA Good For You. The System Doesn't Work For Most People. Thanks For Making Fun Of My Parents. They Are Hard Working Good People.... Jerk

  • @rushmanzero

The system works if you do. Teaching isn't a good field right now. Your parents should have just gotten a BA in Engineering and passed the licensing exam. I have an uncle that earns over 150k working in an engineering firm.

In this economy you just need to have everything to get hired. You must have leadership experience, academic honors, and work experience.I have all of these and network like a fucking ninja. Be a winner not a whiner. Your parents are whiners. Change.....

  • @FutureCACPA Who the hell are you to call my parents Whiners? They never once complained about the system, I did. They're the reason I went to college, they encouraged me to. I'm telling you that it's bullshit, not them. Networking works, that has nothing to do with a degree. I'm glad you and your uncle are big shots and things worked out for you, but please don't talk about my family as if you know them and their situation. The truth is, you and your uncle are a 1 in 10 in our society.

  • @rushmanzero

Yes that is because 9 out of 10 don't know how to strategically plan out their life for success. I am not a big shot yet but I am on the tracks to be one. So they convinced you to go to college....

What did you major in and how did that work out for you financially?

Seriously my entire friends circle has jobs immediately after college. I understand some people don't but if you are a type A you will have a good job after graduation. Assuming you major in something reasonable.

  • @rushmanzero Hey, as long as no money is coming out of your pocket, than knock yourself out. Contrary to what the select messengers say, college can be fun.

  • @esca8652 Is your family paying for your college education? Because student loans definitely come out of your pocket + Interest. I'm not sure what you are talking about. The social experience isn't what we are talking about. . .

  • @rushmanzero If you are talking about my reply that was towards DaMost, than no we were not talking about social experience, I just somehow bridged it into one broad topic. As for my education, right now I am going to a community college and financial aid is paying for it. I know that when I transfer to a real university, it likely won't pay for all of it, and eventually I will have to start forking out several thousand dollars to fulfill my goal (Pharmacy school).

  • @esca8652 So your going to community college for free? If you can go for free, why not. But we're talking on behalf of those of us who go to university for the idea of meritocracy and come out with lots of debt. The whole problem is you can't get work in this country without real world experience and connections. Meritocracy is simply an idea that seems to be failing us. It can help you get a couple more dollars an hour at a grocery store, but can you find work in your field? Not likely

  • lmao "is my hair poofy"

  • lmao awesome

  • College is a scam! Textbooks are a monopoly. If you don't attend then you get stigmatized. Great business model.

  • u speak truth yo

  • was someone's name Gorilla?

  • yea the student part was edited out

  • @DangerousDouglas ..Bullshit useless impractical bullshit classes ..they dont prepare for the working world..it is a crock of shit!!!..and theres no jobs anyway..u learn nothing like high school..its a fuckin money makin lie..and they fail u over bullshit..meticulous critical teachers that are assholes..your gunna need a Ph D to work in Burger King soon

  • @DangerousDouglas Bullshit useless impractical bullshit classes ..they dont prepare for the working world..it is a crock of shit!!!..and theres no jobs anyway..u learn nothing like high school..its a fuckin money makin lie..and they fail u over bullshit..meticulous critical teachers that are assholes. your gunna need a PhD to work in burger king soon!. its called corporate communism!. and they jobs you get are BULLSHIT!!. the richest people in the world DID NOT GO TO BRAINWASHING COLLEGE!!

  • @5tonyvvvv

This is so true. I am facing that harsh realty now. After graduating I had to basically unlearn everything I was taught in college and taught myself SEO copywriting, SM Marketing, graphic design, xhtml and css for FREE.

Somehow the professors in my concentration (Communications) saw it more important for students to learn a semiotics analysis of Desperate Housewives vs actual career training. Read the book "B Students Work for C Students. A Students Teach." EYE OPENING!

  • @missmarie273 Because all the classes in college are USELESS BULLSHIT!!! your a smart guy man, caught in the system they force you into! I did the same thing!, I own my own business now, I will never work for anyone again, and thats what college teaches you, to be a MINDLESS SHEEP!!! Take Pointless classes that have nothing to do with your major, and listen to braindead teachers, that just need a job!!
