Vista is fine, even without the eye candy. And if it's too bloated just use Vista Lite to take out all the stuff you don't want. I'm running a Vista with a 256 MB RAM requirement=D
I need some help... when i play a dream scene it takes a long time for icons on my desktop to open after i click them, same thing happens when i right click on the desktop. The weird thing is when i play dream scene it does not slow down my computer one bit, the cpu usage is about the same and even windows explorer runs fine. The only problem is the desktop...
I dont know what you guys are talking about. I run it day and night and it never crashes my computer. I have a Nvidia card. It must be something else you are having problems with.
right it looks nice but it crashes all nvidia cards i read around in google and im not alone about it i want it in my pc BUT NO when i enable it 2 or 3 hour s later it crashes my pc i downloaded every hotfix to fix thi nope nothing i use Windows Vista Ultimate X64 SP1 with every single update installed still it crashes my pc SOMEONE HELP
I am going to be running vista shortly. I have a core 2 duo 2.7Ghz with 4GB of Geil DDR2 Ram. I have a 8800GTS 640MB Video card, that i think will run any version quite comfortably. Just not to fussed by Vista. I work in the industry so can get it for free, however only reason is for the visual appeal, and doesn't justify a fresh re-install in any high priority.
That was very crucial information. Thank you for the enlightenment.
Yes, you are right. All vista has is basically the same as xp, but with its own flavor of issues and more red tape. However it's shiny red tape, so maybe just maybe it's worth what you'd be paying for it.
Mine works fine. Because I didn't install it on some crappy machine from the 90s. Runs smoothly on anything with more than 2GB RAM and a decent, up to date CPU (REQUIREMENTS ARE WRITTEN ON THE BOX!). I like it, nice and ambient, takes practically no resources, doesn't move in thumbnail or flip 3D view but nothing a patch can't fix. Maybe Apple will have to postpone their next operating system by 8 months to be able to match this as they did with their hasty and unstable TimeMachine.
can someone tell me whats the name of the third one?

I'm sure my computer couldn't handle this, but it's a cool feature. Until I get a job that pays well...

What are these computer's specs? It seems like the system is struggling to run this feature...
racsito39 4 years ago
actually, the feature uses very little processing power. it is more likiely the recording program that's causing the stuttering.
I am using a patched version of Home premium to run it and it works fine

No it doesn't, it uses memory from your GPU not your CPU to operate.
