You know why people hate this movie? Because they are disturbed by the fact that this will be possible within the next 50 years or so and that if it's possible than someone somewhere will do it.

Even banning research into human genetic engineering can't stop it because eventually all of the information and knowledge technology needed to do it will exist anyway. Once you completely understand genetics and biology you don't have to reasearch human genetic engineering to know how to do it.

@Atomicskull i dont think you understand how complex molecular science is. a human has around 23,000 genes in their dna all coded by over 3 billion nucleotides to succesfully splice something i would assume you would have to find a species that is relitively closely related, sort out every single gene, then test each gene to test the compatability. even after that you would have to trouble shoot juvenile development. basicly what i mean is it took us 3.5 billion years to evolve from a bacterium
