when you are jumping off the wall do you press jump before or after you hit the wall

eh i hate the wall jump pole thing been tryin to figure it out for hours lol

I cant do the wall jump from the lower pole to the pole directly above it. When I jump from the wall I always go between the poles. Is there some kind of jumping upgrade I need to get

your either not getting the timing right or its your game, and there aren't any jumping upgrades
