  • fuck you Magnolia!

  • I see Food Inc. has really come up on Monsanto's radar and they are mounting a huge pr campaign on their website to try and discredit the movie as well as those farmers sued by Monsanto. In much the same way that Adolph Hitler only wanted to be "friends" with his neighboring nations, Monsanto portrays itself as a peace loving multinational that wants GMOs and organics to live hand in hand. BS! They must be very threatened by the truth getting out and MIchael must keep getting it out!

  • Dislikers must be Macdonalds, KFC, Burger King, and Wendy's ^_-_^

  • This movie was major BS. It's very biased and obviously financed by the Organic Producing companies as a smear campaign so they can gain more business. All they do is focus on the few negatives of today's ag market. They even go to THE WORST agricultural facilities I've ever seen and then apply the false statement that it's an example for all farms everywhere. The producer is a liar, a social extreminst, and is no better than the 'evil' Monsanto.

  • @gibb1991 You're a Glen Beck fan aren't you?!

  • @scorpionkings God, no.

  • @gibb1991 But what they are sayings is so true, open your eyes and watch the money trail.

  • @killenum123 I've visited places like Monsanto and the global headquarters for Elanco for research in subjects such as this. This movie was funded by the organic industries. It's a smear campaign, and that's it. There's no deeper story. The producer is just exploiting the ignorance of those who are not involved in the agricultural industry and have no idea what they're talking about. Almost none of it is accurate.

  • @gibb1991 I have seen the feed lots, the chicken barns of corporate farms along with some large slaughter houses. None of it is pretty and I would have to disagree that this movie is a smear chmpaign, from what I see it is true and we do need to return to more traditional ways of dealing with our food production. We also need to rethink the energy used in trucking it as well.

  • @killenum123 There are a few places that do not use Animal Welfare, of which I do not approve. All of the large farms here ensure that the animals are well-fed, comfortable, and free of disease. I would agree that we need to continue researching new ways to transport out goods, but that's up to the tractor-trailer companies, not the farms. However, it's clearly apparent that this is a smear campaign. Many of the claims against Monsanto are twisted and inaccurate in this video (continued)

  • @gibb1991 I do believe we could go one about this endlessly, As I have said, I have seen corporate farms and disagree, I am very familiar with farming and can only speak for what I am witness too. As far as Monsanto is concerned, I do not trust them an know they do not have a very good record of being truthful nor do they care about anyone or anything beyond their bottom line. It will also take more than the trucking industry to solve transportation issues. We need to move toward local farming.

  • @killenum123 Agreed. My family's farm is doing more and more to be efficient. Of course, most grain moves by rail. However, Monsanto is a very notorious contributor to the local community, at least in my area. They've donated to philanthropic organizations for scholarships and educational opportunites. I don't work for anyone in terms of my research. It was independant research for my AgEd classes and for a paper that I had to write for my professor at my University.

  • @gibb1991 bull crap. This movie is the truth.

  • @killenum123 When you work around those farms, you know it's inner workings and that this movie is crap.

Many of the claims against Monsanto are twisted and inaccurate in this video.

  • @killenum123 The funding from organic companies becomes very clear when the subject of organics comes up. Suddenly, the music is more cheery and it does not mention any of the cons of organic agriculture. It's partially paid for by the organic industry simply to boost their sales and profits. They're no better than Monsanto. Although I do not disagree with organics, it's clear that it's impossible to feed our expanding world simply on organic products. I've spent years researching this.

  • @gibb1991 I disagree, Organic farming has been around since the begining. Who do you work for or do research for?

  • Incredible, my friend has been talking to me about the Gerson way of organic fruits and juices toward healing the body from the inside out and I must admit it is very testing when all you see these days are processed foods but when you get documentary like this it puts a felling in your gut that we MUST make a change...WOW!

  • I wanna eat dat little chickens !

  • @MrMick73 Just how messed up are you?

  • @ReshZek200 Not very. I love eating Chicken. Im going to eat two Chickens every day and make pillows from there lil feathers. Yum Yum

  • what an excellent film - watch it at layoutplugin.netX Remove "X"

  • If u eat fish its called being a pesketarian but its still counts as vegetarian.

  • Fuck your national policy idea, I'll choose how nutritious my food is, jackass.

Oh and you wanna know why corn is in everything? Because it's subsidized way too much in this country.

  • @FatherTime89 Fuck YOUR attitude. Shape up.

  • @ReshZek200 Fuck you. I'm an adult I can choose how nutritious my food is.

  • If the movie made you a vegetarian, congrats on the change. That's what Peta advertizes. You don't necessarily have to be a vegetarian to be healthy. You can buy organic meat and veggies to be healthy. Wish you good health !

  • @peerguy Organic food does not necessarily mean better nutrition.

  • The documentary does not say that meat eaters are screwed and vegans aren't.

I watched Food inc today and it re-inforced the idea of going organic whether meat or veggies. Very well done documentary and I commend them for spending the money and effort in the making.

  • About time someone came out and made a movie about the garbage the food industry is pumping into our foods! We don't need Communist Healthcare! We need a better eating habit for America! God made our bodies fully capable to recover themselves, but when you keep pumping in carcinogens into your body, via the trash foods, it makes your body weak and impares it's ability to do so! Obama should see this movie and get a wake-up call! Ha I'm preachin' now

  • @twilightboobears Congrats, but that doesn't really solve any of the issues brought up in the film.

  • @1Submersible you really just said that? You are terribly wrong. This informs us about everything. Does it promote vegetarians? Yes. Does it urge to go organic? Yes. But, this exposes everything there is.

  • Awesome movie! It is really scary how we are killing ourself

  • Our government organizations are really crooked to do this to us I mean out of all things why our food oh yeah I forget to expand their pockets at our expense

  • Thank You Robert Kenner for producing Food Inc I find not only the book but the actual film so informative I have begun to give oral presentations about what is going on with our food industry to my classes and every one seems interested I will continue to share this with as many people possible

  • im a vegitarian (i eat fish though)

  • Then you are not a vegetarian.

  • @Cod3onlineplayer Then you're not a vegetarian.

  • fuck yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • where can I find this film? Answer, please :!

  • cedar lee, that might just be in ohio though

  • Netflix.

  • do you americans know the word biological in the food-buisiness?

  • I saw this movie yesterday. It makes you think. I'd recommend it to everyone. It'll make you think twice when buying food.

  • look, if we don't respect the earth, if we trash it, cut down trees, destroy the environment, earth will fight back with tsunamis, hurricanes, earthquakes, volcanoes, tornadoes, floods, etc.

people wake up, eat healthy, u are what you eat and plz dont waste food, wasting food is like saying F U to all the poor people in this world and to the animals that died to give u a nice meal. learn some humility plz

  • i dont FUCKING care u stop mass production on growth the world would run out of food u fucks

  • Remember that when YOU get cancer from eating hormone treated meats, many of us have already found that out the hard way, canceris on the major uprise due to insecticide saturated foods and hormone treated meats that cause your cells to grow faster as well. That IS one way cancer starts. enjoy Chemo, if you can afford 5000 a treatment!

  • yup its worth it i have money and money talks i'll never eat gay little leafs

  • I eat everything I want, still I don't get any fatter, I am rather slim...I guess people will now hate me

  • when does this movie come out?

  • Finally, they are coming out with the truth of unhealthy foods. Im gonna see this fo show

  • next thing you know they are goin to find human meat..ugh!!!

  • Solyent Green...It's PEEEEOOPLLLEEEE!!

  • Ive been pescetarian for several months. My reason would be because of all the crap that is in meat these days. And basically exactly what this movie is talking about. Of course, i consume my share of bad shit too. I cant wait to see this movie and come up with a better solution to eating badly than not eating meat. Organic? Wouldnt it be nice if THAT was easy...

  • @redleaderstandingby How is it difficult? My local Safeway has generic organic food and it's cheaper than regular non-organic brand name stuff.

  • @AceTracer Well, I go to a boarding high school in New Hampshire. No school food is easy to find organic. But the co-op down the road is an option whenever I can get off campus, even if mine is more expensive than a chain supermarket. I wish my town was like where you are. I always feel that picking and choosing everything I eat is difficult by itself. But caution is what is necessary these days if you don't want to feed yourself processed, gross crap.

  • I can't eat any sugar, so I have to check the labels of everything. It shocked me that seasoning mixes for soup have sugar in them. Sugar is in everything. Why on earth for? Corn and starch too. Makes me never want to eat any sugar ever again. Or anything processed.

  • eat Pancakes lol :D

  • yea our food is not like it use to be long ago I know that its pure common sense.

I would most def love to see this movie.

  • OMG!! I watched the Bill Moyer interview, and when he was on Bill Maher total phukn mind blower. I listen to the podcast on Itunes of Bill Moyer very good.

  • looks good

  • EAT BOCA!

  • Seeing this makes me smile and proud that I'm a Vegetarian. yeah with a capitol V.

  • Well once you see the movie, you'll realize that you vegetarians and vegans are just as screwed as those of us who eat meat.

  • @zerozander Exactly, people think veganism is somehow the solution. There's nothing wrong with eating animals, as long as it's done in a humane, organic, sustainable fashion. Most vegans eat more crap than I do.

  • @zerozander But not as much.

  • Comment removed

  • @WABDtv lol

  • yea but isnt this movie talking about the cheicmals we put in our food to make them bigger at a faster rate

  • @dumbassfer23 Some of it is, your correct at that. But, it's aslo about GMO(genetically modiied organisms) and how the meat is prepared. The ending is about processing.

  • wow...I just feel sorry for Divinehearts. You poor soul. You just don't get it, do you? If I were you...I might try pulling my head out of my ass...It's much brighter out here in the real world. More reading and less ranting also helps you not sound so insane.

  • Again with the name calling. I can see you are a lost cause then. That's real sad that you choose to believe a movie trailer and not actual facts.

  • um...what name did I call you?? Actually, nevermind...this conversation is not even worth having. I have been in agriculture for 8 years and am too busy growing and selling organic food to fool with people who find satisfaction in making ignorant claims on YT.

  • @sflaningam This claim is correct. This movie is right. See reality.

  • @Divinehearts Those are facts. Watch the movie, it goes through EVERYTHING.

  • @sflaningam Hmm... Let's think about that..... NOPE. YOU need to pull YOUR head outta your ass. YOU need to STFU and deal with it.

  • You can choose to believe liberal propaganda, or you can educate yourself on the facts. This trailer reminds me of another very out of proportion and scientifically incorrect movie *cough*An Inconvenient Truth*cough* which contained 35 incorrect scientific statements!! Please people, don't be ignorant and resort to low name calling. People who make these movies prey on people like you because they know you will believe them and help push forward their own agendas.

  • Name me one case, just One, of a pesticide related death. If there was one it would be all over the news and lawsuits would be made. Comments like this is the product of our generation being brought up to hate big industry. Even if we went to growing food purely organically we would need MUCH more farmland than what we currently use to sustain the current population. You either have to grow food commercially, or wipe out half the human population. Your choice.

  • uhhhh. Cancer, mr. know-all-the-facts

  • hahaha and the worst part is that i was watching this while eating so now it makes me wondeer what is in my food

  • Don't listen to people who say stupid shit like "pesticides are not as harmful as you think" WTF! Think for yourself, people. Do you think it's okay to consume bug poison or not? It's just like those high fructose corn syrup commercials where they guy is like "Read the facts. High fructose corn syrup is okay in moderation." Yeahhhh it won't kill ya right away, but a little bit of poison everyday can add up, dont ya think? omg people are so stupid

  • that must explain all the pesticide-related deaths huh jackass?

  • i hate people who complain about the price of organic food. First of all, it's not that much more expensive. And even if it is, it's worth it! It's food that you are putting in your body. Most of the processed shit in supermarkets is making you sick. if you think you are saving money by buying cheap food, then just wait til your medical bills come when you get sick. Then you'll be spending all the money you saved, and then some.

If that's not enough for ya, organic food jst tastes better.

  • This is weird, my friend was watching this video right when I told her I got a job at a meat processing plant. Ya there not as bad they make them to be.

  • First of all, pestisides and other chemicals are not as harmful as we are forced to believe. Most of the chemicals used in farming aren't regulated very well, but most of it is gone by the time we buy it. The little that remains is consumed in MICROGRAMS(1 millionth of a gram by the kilo)! By the way, plants themselves produce natural pesticides(rodent carcinogens) meant to harm rodents and other creatures that eat them.

  • heres the thing when u start messing with the genetics of anything when we have only mapped the human genome what is to say that the rise in cancer and other diseases isn't attributed to it. organic food is better, and yes it does need to b made more readily available and more regulated but we need ppl to stand up and make a stand for it

  • The problem is that there is no regulated standards for organic food. So people gullably buy organic, thinking they're are getting something so great, but you really don't know how "organic" it is. You could be paying more for something just as industrialized as anything else. If that changed...and the food was proven to be organic, then I would buy it.

  • fred meyers prices are so high,it feels like

    costomers are paying union dues

  • no more meet for me

  • So every lawyer, doctor, banker, teacher, police officer, metro machinist and a barman should grow their own food? Where is the time and space? It is a trade-off.

To feed 300 million people, you need fast, mechanized and technological food manufacturing and processing. I understand this trade-off and accept it.

Fuck you, liberals. I will see how you grow your own fucking food whilst hurrying to that class or board meeting. Fuck you!

  • so damn all liberals for wishing for a better way, ya keep up the rabid hate-mongering prick

  • You don't actually have to 'grow' your own food all you have to do is .. aah never mind.. You must have mistaken me with someone who actually gives a fuck of whether you buy organic products or not.

  • they just want to tell us this shit because they want scew with us and jack with our diets!!!

    JACK ASSES!!!

  • i dont care wat the food is made from or where it is made from or wat it contains......as long as it tastes good!!!

  • damn right

  • I'll take my pistachios with salmonella any day. Ignorance is bliss.

  • Your fucking idiots If you do'nt care about our world, you dads should have used a condom!!

  • i know exactly what i eat. loony industries like peta are making people think that they're eating a rotting carcass instead of grade a steak.

the happier a cow is, the better it tastes. and i intend to taste it.

  • And do you think that a cow in a feeding lot is happy?

I don't think that this documentary is about not eating meat; it think it is about the effect that large agribusiness is having on the food that we are putting into our bodies.

Lot's of evidence out there that farming in it's current form is unsustainable.

  • agribusiness? really? calm down... Here is what is gonna happen 1. People see the movie 2. They feel empowered 3. they leave the theater 4. they go to Whole Foods and buy some organic peaches. 5. They eat the peaches and complain about how expensive it is. 6. they go to work the next day 7. The person comes home and buys their family a fast food dinner. IE: NOTHING CHANGES! until organic foods are produced cheaper and faster no one will take the effort to make a change
  • I think two things;

    1. as people choose organic over industrial, increased demand will result in economies of scale making it more affordable.

    2. as the subsidies, tax breaks, cheap oil etc are removed from the equation, the real cost of food will be felt.

If that happens organic should start to take over. Just remember that the fast food dinner your buying is artificially cheap because of taxes, lobbying, cheap oil etc. The government is paying for us to poison ourselves - ironic but true.

  • i guess everyone have to think twice what they send into their mouths nowadays

there's so much processed products that people are getting unhealthier

    :(

  • It is good to see a movie coming out that exposes the harm that an industry is doing to americans! It is the preservatives in the food that prevents (slows) the spoiling that is killing us! Has anyone noticed that country folks (with their own garden and livestock) are typically healthier than city folk! And remember.....doctors treat your symptom with drugs, not the cause!

  • I dont eat fast food. However "organic food" or Whole Foods Marker is very very expensive. -_-

  • haha ever1 screw twilight now we have to watch FOOd with hot actor who is much hotter the edward cullon...COW

  • yes. lol

  • i don't know man, sometimes i just want some doritoes

  • omfg 1:19 made me fall off my chair laughing

then my mom was like "what r u doin in there?"

    lol

  • i hope people watch this movie and it makes a differnce!

  • I want to see this so bad. Can't wait

  • The ground rules for a healthy diet:

    -eat organic produce.

    -cook your own food.

-if your packaged food has more than eight or so ingredients, try to avoid it.

-reduce the amount of meat you eat.

-stop drinking soft drinks. Drink water.

-stay away from foods that have ingredients you can't pronounce.

  • Amen x] nice rules :]

  • You have a good idea, but the last one is no longer true. The government now requires "natural" ingredients to be listes by chemical name, too. And, bare in mind, plants have chemical alkaloids that can be harmful or good, you can't go by how hard it is to say.

  • I know. I was just speaking in general. Anyway, one should stay away from packaged foods as much as possible.

  • Supersize Me had an effect on my own eating habits, but I agree, I doubt it will change the eating habits of the millions of fat retards in this country that are too lazy to make a sandwich, let alone think twice about where that dry, flat piece of so called meat came from in their quarter pounder with cheese.

  • Hopefully you will have more children than them and their children will see results of their parents' habits before it is too late for themselves.

  • bah >.>

  • june 12/2010 rigth?

  • I saw the sneak preview Monday night. It was outstanding, if not one of the scariest things I've ever seen. Go!! Pay close attention to Monsanto. They scare me the most!

  • YES finally I am so happy that they're making this movie too many people take the food they put in their mouth for granted. and think since they're not getting sick from it its ok and its not cuz its not healthy and something needs to be done but its up to us. YEA FOOD INC.

  • I can't wait for this film to come out. I really hope it is watched by a large proportion of the population. It would be difficult to not think about what you are eating and contributing to, after watching this film. Better to be informed than to be a fool for the food industry.

  • FINALLY

  • Love It!!!!!!

  • its about time

  • They forget about the devastating pollution factory farms have created from their bi-products - mainly chicken poop. Tons of it goes into our water sheds and there is no regulation to temper or stop it.

  • Awesome!

  • Wow.

  • Looking forward to seeing it!
