there is a better way by doing it.lava then water . use stone then stone in the middle so it won"t move then in the bottem none.so it work my friend has and he has a wooden house.it did'nt burn.it ture.try it put cobblestone on the top so nomething come out.and it much faster.it not new.it not going to burn any thing.

Why build a cobblestone generator when you get cobble while doing other things. Such as strip mining, clearing rooms for monster spawners. etc. etc. Just seems like a waste of time.

I made a cobble stone generator that produces a row of three and pushes them down to a area where someone can stand and destroy them with ease its pretty awesome feeding the cobble to a safe location and doing more then one cobble block at a time will improve the speed of the generators production by being able to use your pickaxe non stop xD also hooking your generators pistons up to a infinite loop and a pistion switch means you can turn the generator on and off whenever you want : D

That is such a huge cobblestone generator! You can make a much more compact version. Look up self repairing bridge and use the generator model from that video.

Coe cover up the top of the lava because embers can still fly out, and I have an idea for ur generator so when the cobble is made it could be pushed/pulled out then up a block then across towards you so u would only have to mine a straight line, and it could all be on one circuit with a delay of course

The purple in Minecraft has too much blue in it, so I wouldn't use it--stick with dark-grey. A good spot for your bed would be your tower.

You can have a generator with a vertical tower for your lava, instead of a diagonal one. It will save you space. Also, I would put the water and lava horizontally opposite of each other, with a piston as part of your generator's wall. This way, your piston pushes out your already cobblestone wall, USING your generator's produce!

I found a video that used pistons to make a self regenerating bridge. They use a very simple cobble stone generator which takes less space than yours and you can use pistons to push the cobble out to a safer spot for you to collect. And/or you can hide the generator if you so wish.

@DSstudio10 Not exactly, if I remember correctly that bill means you cant claim copyright on a video of a video game. You can still post videos, and only can get in trouble if you claim the content as 100% yours (ie. failing to give credit to the game or claiming its your game). Also the game companies can just put safties for video makers so there is no doubt. I think notch said they were going to add something to their terms of service for video makers just in case, check his tweets.
