  • the drum beat doesn't fit with the super chill melody.

  • Nearly*

  • This one was really nice, first one I've come up with a nice melody that fits. Nearlly had a tear xD cheers man! :)

  • This is not bossa.

  • This track is just in the pocket... I don't care abouth the chords notes or resolve...My ears say it sounds good....I feel the need to sing over it everytime I hear it!

  • I really liked this track. I posted a video response but I don't see it anywhere on this page. Maybe you just didn't "approve" it yet?

  • @wayneguitar84 Thank u and thx for being interested in it!! Very nice soloing!

  • this is a bossa nova home and away theme.

  • isn't this in G Major?

  • @msyjsm123 lol,no....its Cmaj or Amin....you can solo in either of these keys and your good to go.....even though there exactly the same...

  • @GavinClementMelanson There's a big difference between Cmaj and Amin.

  • @Sqaarg then i meant B#Maj but then again...im not to great with my major pattern...:/ well now that you pointed that out...

  • @GavinClementMelanson B#Maj as a key wouldn't be practical, nor would it make any real difference, since B#maj is a mostly theoretical scale.

The biggest difference between Amin and Cmaj is the note or chord that it resolves to. Amin resolves to an A note or A minor chord, Cmaj resolves to an C or a C major chord. This progression clearly resolves to Cmaj (mostly because of the V7). If you would play an A minor scale over this progression, you would only end up playing in C major.

  • @Sqaarg when i told him they were the same. i meant pattern wise. not note wise or anything to do with the chord. i told him play Am or Cmaj simply because some people don't know both the maj pattern and the min pattern. so i simply said play Cmaj or its relative minor. which is Am.

  • @Sqaarg but i did type in the word ''keys'' when i should of stuck to the word pattern...my bad... :p

  • love the drum fill at the end

  • This is not the changes

  • Is it okay for me to use this as a backing track for one of my improvising videos? : )

  • very nice thanks!

  • bossa?

  • good

  • this is a super backing track..thanks for posting it!!

  • I really like this. It's simple and fun to jam over.

  • wikid is there one in A?

  • great stuff!

  • no complaints but the drums seem a little loud over the chords? little hard to hear the changes, course if I could play I'd go by measures I guess

  • Why do I keep thinking Marvin Gaye here..?

  • Extremely fun and chill to play over! Gotta love those maj7, m7 and dominant7 chords, they don't have that extremely stable tonality that regular major and minor chords have. Gives room for the melody guitar to make the tonality interesting. Thank you!

  • Can anyone explain why e minor pentatonic work so well over this?

  • @bodhidarma1 All of the notes that are in the Em pentatonic scale are in the E phrygian mode, which is one of the positions in the key of C major. You're not really playing Em pentatonic you're just playing a pentatonic version of E phrygian.

Having said that, play whatever sounds good it really doesn't matter.

  • wow, really great track

  • definately awesome loved it

  • Awsome for A natural minor/cmaj scales over

  • definitely. throw g myxolidian in too. i found myself resolving on e a lot too. i don't know what mode that is.

  • Very sweet jam track... thanks

  • agreed i just found this and it is very crucial

  • One of the greatest jam tracks I've found after one month of jamming :)

  • This is perfect to practice scales on

  • awesome jam track. Maybe the best mellow track I've jammed to on you tube.

  • cool track
