thanks man i dint even reboot and i seen to have faster start menu opening, plus i use the program " vista start menu " so my xp start menu is like vistas, but much bigger, and my xp is modded, aka windows vienna, so yeah i dint think it would speed up the vista start menu program but i guess it did :)

By disable every Start-Up program.

Remove unnecessary program, you havn't been

using for a couple of weeks. And clear the registry.

And if its really really slow.

Use the mystring command.

(This may overclock your RAM - If your having a quick computer already, this is not the right choice for you.)

thanks. that 400 default number is miliseconds. change it to something like 150-200.. 0 is too fast and will be hard to use :)

There is no downside. Unless you require there be a delay for programs to start up because you have a slow computer (like a Pentium 3) and you dont want your PC starting things faster.

Ok, i lied, i have 1 more question: I need something to block up pop-ups. I have internet explorer and i also have the google toolbar (which is recommended by people to block pop-ups) But yet, i still have loads of pop-ups after i click on anything, for example: if i switch from 1 vid to anouther, i get a pop-up. These pop-ups include: Poker/Gambeling sites, Dating sites and random junk saying i won stuff.

Please help! its the only thing really annoying me. thats why i want to master reset.Ty
