Then, when Filipinos make origina music, they'll say "baduy", "cheap" even without trying to look at it objectively. Filipino made is automatically cheap imitation. So is Arnel Pineda a cheap imitation of Steve Perry as much as xlr8 is a cheap imitation of SuJu? Duh, if Filipinos look at things objectively, it's likely that we have someone to match the greatness of Steve Perry and that Filipinos could match Super Junior(if not, outmatch them if SuJu does not improve on their vocals)

Give this group a chance before you say shit. fyi. Kpop is influenced by Jpop (vice versa) and American pop. Not to mention kpop songs have a lot of plagiarism issues. You have no right to say that this group is a copy cat. Music can also be a mix of cultures. And someday Ppop will evolve as it's own.

I hope that they'll be Multifaceted artists who can sing, act and dance and not just look good on screen. I mean so far the Philippines is filled with good looking but talentless individuals. If you look at the LIVE(w/o lipsyncing) performances of Boy and girl groups in SKorea, they sound bad. Only in CDs to they sound good since there's been a lot of vocal processing.

Even singer-wannabe sam milby sound better than SS501 and SUJU when they sing live. And Toni Gonzaga, another singer wannabe singer wannabe sound better than SNSD and WG in singing live.

I have a feeling na yung ibang anti dito, walang gaanong alam tungkol sa roots ng Kpop (yung mga nakisabit lang dahil sa Wonder Girls & 2ne1?). Dito pa lang sa YouTube you can gather a lot of info lalo na tungkol sa old-school Kpop artists and how their sound evolved, back when Seo Taiji and company made their debut, all the way to the present. Hopefully kahit dahan-dahan something similar happens here para sumigla ulit ang Pinoy Music and mas lalong makilala ang mga performers natin overseas.
