Fighting for freedom and war are two different things. This war in particular is itself highly corrosive to freedom and is clear, plain, and simple case of war for empire.

Is it corrosive to the freedom of the Iraqi people who are now allowed to vote for their leaders and participate in a free society? I served an an MP in afghanistan, and can tell you firsthand that those people up there are either paid actors, or are bums doing this for some extra cash and have no HONOR. This is exactly one of the reasons why I would never move back to vermont. Way too many people up there who are out of touch on the way the world actually works and naiveness.

The former service members  should seek help through the VA or other channels instead of pointing the finger and blaming the government for their problems they are having on the inside, and get rid of the agenda of blaming the government.

Those "former" service members who are up there complaining about "their" war crimes need to understand that they joined, they were part of a combat unit that was deployed. They have an SOP that gives them guidance for the use of deadly force also. If they did not follow those guidelines, then they are the only ones who are at fault and should be tried under the UCMJ as individuals.

The reason they are ordered to go to peoples houses is because intelligence has given good reason for these people to be investigated. And when is it most likely that someone will be home? At night. You cannot risk tipping off suspected terrorists by showing up that day and not finding them there. ((continue below))

I'm not saying that everyone in the military is a saint. However, the video seems to put forward that every soldier behaves as deplorably as this man has claimed to behave. ((continue below))

But you cannot judge the actions of hundreds of thousands of soldiers base on the seemingly poor character of these few.

It's interesting that this video seems to make heroes out of those individuals that served least honorably. Killing like this is not the norm, but these guys would like you to think that it is so they can feel better about themselves.

There are a lot of soldiers out there who don't take killing lightly. But saying that would make others realize how horribly you behaved.

Am I claiming that everything they say is a lie? No. But they are certainly not telling the whole truth of the matter.
