  • it wasn't THAT low..... but still i would laugh if someone was taking a pic of the airport and one of those came overhead, bet they would be on the ground screamin for mommy

  • Great damage to the eardrums

  • the planes so low i could see someone in the toilet!! He's waving !

  • hmm im jsut waiting for one of those planes ot go short and clip someones face!

  • Looks like its close but its about 50 meters above ground.

Same shit happens here in Lisboa, Portugal.

  • COULD U IMAGINE IF ONE OF THOSE CRASHED INTO A BUILDING?!?!?!!? oh wait......

  • bloody french

  • it's so inhuman, but at the same time, so essentially human

  • The fence had gotten hit by jet wheels!

  • the kite shop went bankrupt

  • I know where im flying my brand new kite next!

  • @Hamzt3rspeg Dear kite, may you rest in pieces, amen.

  • Note the fence bent back toward the runway. Either the force of a big jet pushed it back or yes, human error or jet malfunction, or something made one of the jets fly low and clip the fence with it's wheels.

  • is there a height limit at this beach?

  • What happens if the plane stalls on approach..........

  • @mrMWplayer Ouch... good one lol

  • The landing is normal, the beach location isnt.

  • Now you do NOT want trucks going on that road. Yikes.

And NO PET GIRAFFES, OR KITES. Unless you wanna fly to the other end of the world. :P

  • female at the weel?

  • its not the craziness... its actually n always required to be done so.

  • Really nice footage... Especially at the beginning. A little rough for everyone on the landing. Thanks for sharing....

  • I bet people asked 'why did you build the airport here?'. Response 'Well, why are sunbathing here?'

  • Make a beach behind an active runway, so smart

  • that's pretty high actually

  • this is actually normal compared to those other landings on this airport

  • How low can you go? 0_o

  • The fence is half blowd cuz the wind

  • its amazing will go there one day afternoon haha

  • i would go swimming there when the plane comes :)

  • this is a good landing for airbus... bad for boeing

  • @bretto05208 airbuses r fails

  • @adamgamedude Yeah Cessna FTW!!! ;-P

  • @WhiteKestrell cessna and boeing wtftw

  • al quaeda-pilot after fly over the people.. : aaaah shiiiit ....damn tzz better luck next time..

  • 18 people jumped and injured... xD

  • It's so low I could touch it! *Touches screen* Yep, just as I predicted...

  • Been there done that... love it!

  • I just watched this from the left side.

  • Id love to just throw an egg out of the cockpit onto someones head!

  • Comment removed

  • I bet the pilots hate everyone standing around like that...

  • This was actually high for st maarten :p

  • Comment removed

  • overshot the beginning of the runway by ... ohh... 20 miles... or 20 milometers as the REST of the World likes to call it... BWAAhahaha

    badd pilot, wastes runway

  • PLZ check the responses especially the first one!

  • Dats not no runway, dats a trampoline!!!

  • Actually that was something we people like to call NORAML. At least for Princess Juliana. When the plane takes down the fence (which has happened multiple times, non of which where caught on film) THAT is a low landing for PJ.

  • @Daniel7681 Holy crap that actually happens?

  • @VIPBaller Ya, KLM's 747 and Air Frances A340 have taken the fence down multiple times lol... they had the airline cover the cost of the fence :P

  • @Daniel7681 thats cheap anyways =D

  • @carlosh1392 Ya, lucky a gasoline truck or something wasn't driving by at the time :P

Landing gear would have knocked the truck a couple hundred feet lol

  • Actually for St Maarten this is pretty high :)

  • I BET THE FISH SHIT THEMSELVES DAILY LOL

  • @ZeroKlutch hmmm... now THAT'S a thought...

  • @ZeroKlutch Considering that they're not wearing pants, and are basically swimming in their own toilet, I don't think they've EVER shit themselves.

  • @ZeroKlutch lol

  • Esto, tengo que vivirlo un día.

  • i love the beauty of A-340 thumbs up!!!

  • Holy crap its in the air

  • PORCACCIA TROIA!!!!! FA' LA BARBA AL MARE!!!!

  • So dam low y would the airport build next to the beach if pilot fly too low may kill some people zz

  • @devgru98 I think probably because of the geography of the island this is the only place that you could have a decent runway for big jets to land on. I doubt a plane has ever crashed short of the runway and hit tourists. If that happened it would be an issue anywhere because 300 people in the plane die.

  • Crazy low? It cleared the fence, didn't it?

  • k impresionantes imagenes

  • k impresionantes imagenes

  • Pretty nice landing apart from the bit of cross wind [I think] that pushes up the left wing a little, other than that it was totally smooooooth. I bet the passengers didn't even feel the bump:P

  • super low???? absolutely normal:-)

  • could be no more then 50 feet above them

  • that guy was actually higher than most planes that land there

  • @0LuceNox0 proberly didn't want to fuck it up and kill a load of people

  • It's ironic how you usually see 737's landing on LAX's long runway and Boeing 747's and A340's on St. Maarten's short runway.

  • In fact although it looks like a normal landing, I'm pretty sure st maartin doesn't have an ILS approach. For those who don't know, an ILS is an instrument landing system and pretty much all major airports that operate commercial flights have one, so usually planes like this land themselves...

Here however the pilot is landing by actually flying the aircraft

  • @gareththomas088 yeah st. maarten doesnt have a ILS approach which really annoying when i play flight simulator

  • @gareththomas088 this was a perfect landing? this beach is attracted by tourists just because of the runway

  • @gareththomas088 lol yea pilots have the option to let the aircraft land itself with auto-land and ILS system. But most pilots when visibility allows it, land the aircraft manually...

And it's usually plane land themselves but occasionally when human skills are unable too maintain alignment with glide slope and center-line due to visibility. Oh and HUD's (heads up display) allows a pilot too land an aircraft in CAT III manually. So pilots still pilot airplanes...

  • @charlieechovictor TNCM has no ILS, it's all done with VOR-DME approaches. :o

  • @CubesForAKid yep I know that, I was replying to someone who said that when ILS is available pilots fly the aircraft automatically... Which is obviously not true...

  • why low?it's just normal landing...what ? do want him to land on 40000ft ?

  • people can just walk onto the runway!!1

  • @TheEaglechopper no theres something called a "fence"

  • @keokiracerhalsteren Dude you could climb that fence easily

  • @TheEaglechopper im not sure, the upper part has electricity running through it I THINK

  • That rock can get sucked in the engine and cause malfunction. I would also assume that the airplanes are still a very high up.

  • @TheEaglechopper there about 200 ft and plane engines are tested to ingest sand and still work

  • perfect for a RPG attack D: is it illegal to throw sticky bombs or fireworks at them?

  • @Devine5496 With a RPG ??? It will not explode ´cause of the short way! Its better to take a sponge an clean the rims an tyres

  • wondeer how much trouble youed get in to if youd throw a rock at it ?

  • @emmiebabes1 Bahahahaa. The thought is kind of funny. Not getting in trouble, but just the idea.

  • @emmiebabes1 Probably a lot. My guess would be you could even be accused of terrorism for trying to bring a plane down with a rock, hahaha. Even if you don't get into trouble with the law, you'll probably have a whole bunch of passengers chasing you down to kick your butt. Either way, it would depend if they can even locate the person who threw the rock in the first place. I would probable do it if I was on that beach.

  • i might go there

  • i was there i remember i was on a cruse and we got off at st.martin on christmas day and i saw that plane on that same beach

  • uhh its approaching to the runway duh! how do you expect people to leave the airplane? parachute off?

  • sure it isn´t a A340-600...maybe an A340-300? can´t see it...but amazing video :D & sick pilot xD

  • @TheSupporter91 Air France does not operate the Airbus A340-600.

  • @TheSupporter91 It's an Airbus A340-300. An easy way to tell is the center main landing gear.

  • this is not low, this is normal

  • @sachamoule true. it is normal.. cause on my way to montana when we landed we were so close to the mountains and people kind of panicked cause they thought we would hit them.

  • @sachamoule wrong and right...It is low, and that's normal.

  • @sachamoule ur a dumb fuck and so are the 72 people who gave u thumbs up. thats low as ball sack, but ur not there in person, its a LOT lower in person dumbass,

  • @23airjordanfreak What are you mad about? You can see the aeroplane hits the entrance of the landing strip perfectly, just like it's meant.

It's the location, and allowing the public that close to the runway that's the only retarded thing there.

  • that planes look only 50 ft in the air 100ft is twice the height its flying here.

  • OMG

  • can see why never relocated the runway it probally increases the number of Holiday makers to see the unreal low flying planes lol.

  • yh, defo, i sooo wanna go there now!

  • Whoa!

  • ew if i go there i will have to remember my slingshot!

  • lol!!!

  • hmmmm it did bounce

  • Seen WAY lower landings than this dude

  • no, the plane is about 300 feet above the beach at its lowest.

  • Ummm, check your facts, the highest a plane could be at St. Maarten is about 100 feet. Verify your facts before you post them for everyone to see.

  • lol, check out one of the klm 747 landings.. bet you could of touched that, it barely makes the fence !

  • ah!!!!!!!!!lindo!!!!!!!!!!!oh!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • imagine being on the beach and a huge jumbo jet takes off :P

  • seen lower landings ...

  • u r so cool

  • man your so cool

  • Air France 747 pilots...ehm...cowboys allready had hit and dragged the fence.

  • like none other have... please stop bashing on air france it's one of the best airline ever with one of the lowest rate of crashes... if u wanna fly safe fly with airfrance

  • lol

  • i like the sound you get after the plane passed.

    air VS air :p

  • fucking nice i think im gonna take a trip there

  • LoL looks like the fence has been clipped a few times ;-D

  • Awesome landing !5*

  • Some people just can't read signs :)

How much bigger should the "DANGER" be for them to understand they can easily be blown into the sea by large jet-engines :)

  • Yeah but how fun would that be!

"hey mom look what i can do!"

    WOOSH!

    Into the ocean!

    Hell i would do it!

  • Been there, done that. It`s not dangerous you just have to be a little daring. Landings are quite scary cos you think ya gunna get hit but no chance. Take of is cool and if u are in line you get sand blasted but its so funny.Only hurts if a large jet.

  • i grew up hereee

  • dude its a landing of course its low lol

  • i bet that is very scary at night as much as it is during the day- WICKED!!

  • but probly 10 times cooler xD

  • yea the plane bounced..notice the smoke..u see it twice

  • uh...no, the rear tires hit, then the front tires.

  • make the screen wider...and it looks like the rear hits and bounces the hits the tarmac again with the front..

  • you cant even see hte bounce..... nice vid tho

  • That is quite normal for St Maarten.

  • is a normal landing...

  • cool video....

  • jump for your head to me hit by a Passenger JET

  • Holy shit that was close !!!

  • This beach is dangerous No ?

The runway is nearby the seaside/beach and the plane landing some meters.

    It's crazy. I not swim here ^^

  • yeah theres even a four lane road inbetween there and the runway

  • ok, I would like to see in real, that must be awesome, you are a plane landing some meters of you

I think the pilot musn't be make one mistake.

  • yeah... if theres 1 thing i want to do in my life it to go to st martin

  • Im going there next week saturday. Visiting my father=] I'm superscared to fly though..

  • trust me there is absaloutly nothing to be worried about, even if the worst does happen and you ditch in the sea, if y exactly what the stewardesses say you will be fine

  • You really think so? Cause im having hard time sleeping because i know i will fly next week, so scared.

  • i dont think so i know so! XD you will be perfectly safe, ive flown loads, you think of all the plane crashes you've heard of, 99% times with that problem the pilot can do an emergency landing, the news likes grim stuff, if it said, 99 planes have landed safely after a minor issue, heres our reported and spent 3 hours interviewing the passengers then said a plane has crashed, heres the weather, noone would want to watch the news, t, 600 planes take off every second, 1 a month crashes

  • Yeah, but what if im the 1 that crashes...=p

  • i sure hope so

  • Comment removed

  • @mrmag1cc are you alive ?

  • @charlieechovictor I'm ok.

  • @mrmag1cc hehe ^^ hopefully you enjoyed the flight :D

  • @G2VKR pilots must not do mistakes at anytime

  • @charlieechovictor Yes it was a calm flight. Watched 3 movies and slept the rest of the flight.

  • a.q türkiyede de böyle olsa ne güzel olur

  • why is it a bad pilot? er, landing on the runway, right, bad, sure.

  • i now know what ppls last sight was on 9/11...

  • not really. why is he?

  • Landing makes him a bad pilot?

  • the fence is probably bent from all the tourist who want to experience jet blast. It can reach speeds of around 100 mph or more. The bigger the plane, the better the blast.

So when the 747's take off, hold on....lol

  • 20m

  • how low is that?

  • maybe 20 ft.

  • I've just had a look on the Aviation Safety Database and it indicates that there has NEVER been an accident at this airport. The last crash near the airport was a fatal sea-ditch in 1972. Amazing seeing as how the runway is situatued only 14feet (about 4 metres) above sea level.

  • Interesting. In that case... ill bet you that the fence is bent as a result of dumbass people hanging on it and messing around. This is an amazing airport... I hope to go there someday.
