  • if he's a transvestite then why does he still have .... that thing

  • @syahirahsazali: Transvestites just dress in the clothing of the opposite gender. Transsexuals have procedures to become the opposite gender.

It's a celebration/sendup of the original Frankenstein from 1931 (Tim Curry's character is named Dr. Frank-N-Furter) and many classic sci-fi mad scientist movies, as spelled out in the song "Science Fiction Double Feature." See the documentary Midnight Movies: From the Margin to the Mainstream.

  • @JKTube Oh... I thought transvestites were the ones who have procedures to cut off their you know that. I didn't know that, thanks for the info.

  • @syahirahsazali: You're welcome.

  • @JKTube Rocky Horror Picture Show may very well be the "ultimate" midnight movie, it's plot is basically a homoerotic, transvestite spoof of the classic 1931 Frankenstein (and it's countless remakes, sendups, homages, ect.) Lets hope this one NEVER gets the remake treatment, it's perfect the way it is

  • @ladner3000moviebuff: Amen to that.

  • 5 people are hot dogs!!!!

  • @LimeLou its not it sort of mocks science fiction movies i dont really watch them but i still adore this movie its in my top 5

  • I love this movie. I have all of Tim Curry's songs on my I-pod because he's my idol and my fav character in this movie. Since Tim Curry was just known for IT as the Clown, he didn't get credit for this, he was Ursula in Mermaid when Ursula turned giant he voiced it. I wish Tim Curry could be on Dancing With the Stars soon. But this is a great movie.

  • The one and only cult classic, Frankie should have paraded around in a tiny g-string lol

  • looks disgusting. i ain't viewing this trash.

  • It's really a tame R, especially by today's standards. There's one F bomb and very brief nudity (which I didn't catch until pointed out). The violence is a little gross with the cannibalism, but I suspect this would be rated PG-13 today.

  • @RadioLaPrincess I think this flick is pretty cool and all, .. but If you want REALLY foul, gross and outrageous shit in a movie then just check out the old John Waters & Divine flicks ( Multiple maniacs, Pink Flamingos, Female Trouble, Desperate Living ). They make this flick look like Disney and they're from about the same time period !

  • Hi im jimmie I made a video of me singing Sweet Transvestite and I can make you a man and it gets kinda intense!!!!! and orgasmic hope you like it my wierdos

  • I went to buy this a year ago and had to show my ID because it was rated R. And I was shocked to find that out. My how times have changed.

  • @FRANCIS51680 Reversed.

  • i saw this when i was 11

  • If I were 13 in 1975 and saw this on tv, I would have been thinking "OMG this movie looks so cool!" Then: "Rated R." "Aw, man!"

Now I have it on DVD, and I've seen it a bunch of times! :D

  • i saw Rocky two years ago when I saw 13 "17 and up" lol

  • I could only imagine seeing this teaser on tv or something back in '75. i would of maggentaed in my pants.

  • @scalp340 ..............with anticipation.

  • Yeah. I've seen in about 13 times in the theatre. Purdue, Michigan, Notre Dame. Talk about some crazy times. Man I can tell you stories. But the first time I saw it, I had no idea what I was getting into. After that, it became a blast. You can tell I'm old.

  • I stumbled across this movie one night on the Fox Movie Channel. I saw on the on-screen info that it had Tim Curry in it, which was cool, because I'd seen him in "IT" and "Monk". I had just missed the intro, so, until Frank's appearance, I thought Brad was played by Tim Curry. My jaw practically hit the floor when I figured out that Frank-N-Furter looked vaguely like Pennywise, and I put 2-and-2 together. Yikes! Now THAT was a surprise!

  • This was released by 20th Century Fox. Can you imagine. Hot films like these aren´t released by major company´s these days.

  • i was 1 when this movie came out lol

  • is it so wrong to have the hots for curry in this movie???

  • Unless one sees RHPS in a theatre, one has not seen it. . .

  • Fabulous movie, it's surprising that it almost ended Tim Curry's acting career.

  • It began his career

  • @badassbrit88 It didn't. This movie is basically the reason why he's so famous right now. It kick-started his career

  • @Jemima100
