  • awesome.

  • damn nice cover please do seeds of the suffering man be the first one to do so

  • This is an awesome cover man, really clean but beyond that you just look like you feel comfortable playing it. Well, as comfortable as Death Metal gets, haha. What hats are you using? They sound really nice.

  • @Etherion Thank you for the compliment Etherion ! Yeah I guess it's a pretty clean cover, but there are still a few mistakes, and a few passages where I'm not right on time. Well, the word comfortable may be a bit excessive ^^, but in fact even if the pace seems very fast when you listen to the song, it's not so fast actually.

My HH is a Paiste 2002 Sound Edge. It is really awesome indeed ! It fits any music style (in my metalhead's opinion...). I'd definitely recommend it.

  • no actually you right man.i was meaning that snare hi hat and kick at the same time.i didn't know it calls hammer blast.but hammer blast what i mean:D Sorry:D as a huge mike smith fan i'm using hammer blasting and the song becomes more killer. your single is pretty awesome i think you should try too.

  • @MrDisembody No problem man ! All this blast vocabulary is pretty useless anyway... Yeah I'll guess I'll try it sometime ! I have to do a lot of hammer blasts for one of my bands so it would be quite a good way to warm up !

  • you should use bomb blasts like mike smith on this song, then it'll be amazing cover:D

  • @MrDisembody There aren't any bomb blasts in the original song, but yeah I guess that'd be quite brutal ! Maybe someday !

  • @Rectalium actually in effigy of the forgetten, mike uses almost just bomb blasting. maybe you missed it because of the hi-hat sound in the album. you should check the infecting the crypts drum cam.

  • @MrDisembody Well, I just listened to Liege of Inveracity really really carefully and I still couldn't hear bomb last ! But maybe I'm wrong. For what I've understood, bomb blast is the same as traditionnal or hammer blast, but with the bass drum in sixteenth notes right ? The only difference I could hear between the original version and my cover is that I do traditionnal blasts (hi hat and bass drum on the time, snare an eighth note after that),

  • @MrDisembody and Smith does hammer blasts (HH, S and K on the same time on every eighth notes), maybe that's what you're talking about ?

(Sorry if I'm not clear enough, English isn't my native tongue.)

You may be right, but I really don't hear the kick in sixteenth notes on the original version. Maybe Smith does it live... Unfortunately I never had the chance to see a Suffocation show !

  • nice cover man first one iv seen on a acuostic dum set so props

  • Very very clean blasts!
