The Vedas are nothing to do with Sikhism, the references to Vedas and the Quran within the GGSJi are to relate to other religions and their people (who at the time were mainly muslims and hindus). She tried to convert me in the beginning but she too feels closer to Sikhi. I told her she should stay muslim because we do not believe in converting for marriage only. The Vedas are nothing to do with Sikhism, the references to Vedas and the Quran within the GGSJi are to relate to other religions and their people (who at the time were mainly muslims and hindus). Brahma, Vishnu, Mohammed, Quran, Vedas are all different peoples way to the same god, that is what Guru Nanak Dev Ji was saying. Sikhi is an independent religion that can exist alone.
