  • Buy a real Floyd on a USA guitar and not a shit guitar. Nothing agianst Dime, but those guitars are pretty cheap.

  • i just put an original floyd rose on my dean fbd ml,had to get a 32mm sustain block but its a godsend compared to the licensed tremolo ,i swear its a fing mircale cure ,the guitar sounds alive and never goes out of tune, its the only way to go i`m afriad.!

  • Get a kahler;)

  • Hit it with a hammer didn't you watch Armageddon Russian components American components all made in tiwon

  • same thing happened to my dean fbd thanks lmaao

  • WASHBURNS are better quality rarer and better

  • Hit it with a hammer hammers fix everything

Just keep hitting it eventual it will loosen up

  • @Bad55Taco lol they du tho

  • just oil it

  • ahh dude nice guitar....i have the dean razorback db floyd and the same problem....the only thing is mine completely fell out....but it looks like and easy fix.

  • you can get nylon bushings looks to be the original locking style floyd uses unlike the newer screw ons.Go to ebay they sell all the parts original and aftermarket.

  • One solution is don't buy a Dean.

  • @TheZombieRitual hmmm /agreed, sold this one on ebay last week hahaha

  • @gameoverrf i don't see video, could you show me?

  • @TheZombieRitual Hey, dont hate on Dean, they make great guitars. The solution is to save your money and buy a dean with an Original Floyd on it to save you money and stress. IF YOU BUY CHEAP YOU WILL GET CHEAP! (Not the case with PRS or Gibson though, both are priced WAY TOO HIGH!)

  • don't trip dude my ml shadow does the same thing all you do is take the cover off the beck of the guitar and tighten in from the back if that doesn't work then just but a new bar setup

  • If you look in the back cavity head stock in the air there should be a little post on the left side take it off and put nail polish remover on the thread of the screw (acting as a adhesive) and screw it back in nice and tight without the trem arm in it you shoild be fine

  • apreta el tornillo con la llave hallen

    en la parte de abajo

  • dude i can fix that i have the same but a shadow ml its not hard to fix

  • i just got a dean and thats whats wrong with it its making me mad

  • ok first of all its a licensed floyd made by graph tech they dont make good floyds at all id say go to your local guitar shop and have them order the original floyd from germany with the whole setup i have the white and gold dean razorback and the floyd it came with was made in korea not a good deal so i have to buy a whole new floyd set for it :/ so yea get the string retainer and everything new

  • i have the same problem on my guitar and i fixed it, but it becomes loose again almost immediately after i use it a few times....any ideas???

  • question;

les paul with floyd rose or stock bridge

  • What make is it?

It would need to be routed out to take a Floyd.

If it's not an arch top you could fit a Kahler on to the existing posts. If it is, a small bit of routing is required.

Check out Slayer vids here from '84/85.Jeff Hanneman used a Gibson with an after market Kahler.

Would be easier just to buy a new guitar though.

  • lube up the bar a lil bit. pop off the back plate get a pair of needle nose pliers hold the nut steady tighten the bar. you're good to go. worked for me. :) hope it help.

  • there is difference between the licensed one and the originals, the licensed ones are cheap and made of pot metal, which makes the pivot points corrode, sending the guitar out of tune every time you use it, and the originals are made in germany, and are made of hardened steel. enough said.

  • hey man

    this is no problem!

open up the back plate where the springs are

then tighten the whammy bar nut then your ready to go!

or if you dont play tremolo just take it out!

  • ok this is what you got to do first dip the bar to the lowest then watch under the trem ARM then you see a 2 mm alan wrench hole move it to the right and your done

  • help, i have just finished restringing my floydrose and am getting alot of twang and fuse when i play the strings i have tryed lifting the strings with the studs but my strings go way to high off the frets, has it anything to do the intonation gauges? any help thanks

  • you probably need to adjust your truss rod. google it and you will find some good how to things online.

  • can someone help me? i have a floyd rose and someone tried to install a wammy bar and it didnt fit, and ever since the first fret sounds really stale and the wammy doesnt work any more. help please!

  • glad its sorted,,nice guitar,, razorbacks are lovely looking guitars...

  • adjust the tension from the bottom to fix the arm problem. there should be a screw or bolt on the bottom of the trem to do that. if it's still loose, then wrap some plumber's tape around the threads, and that'll tighten things right up

  • dude it's the shity dean one. I love dean, but theres sucks. If I was you get an orignal floyd. Dude here is waht you got to do. Take off the floyd. behind where the bar goes there is a screw. Hold the screw with pliers then spin the bar. There you go.

  • I can tell you didnt watch the video did you lmao, i put up captions saying that i sorted this months and months and months ago but yeah lmao oh well.

and its not a dean its just a licenced floyd, and everyone says they are shit but mine is perfectly fine, nothing that people say that are wronge with it are, its brilliant lol

  • haha i know people saythe licenced ones are shit there not iv got one on my kramer and ts awesome

  • @starman69 No, actually Floyd Rose Licensed Trems are made by several different companies. But YES an ORIGINAL FLOYD can kick serious ass (in the hands of a good guitarist) (FUCK NEWBS!) And Your fix is wrong. You need a set of Allen Keys to fix it.. Hold the Trem Bar and tighten the Allen screw in the back of the arm just enough to were it will lock the bar where you want it. BE CAREFUL WITH LICENSED TREMS! They are CHEAP-O's and if you over tighten parts they will strip.

  • this i why i hate floyds

  • hey bro well from what i have experience those type of trem arms are completely replaceable and you could just buy the whole thing with a new thread and everything so like try and not kill your self about it and use your HEX wrench and just screw it off and get a new one if you need feed back just Pm me

  • why are u all british

  • Why are you Canadian?

  • yeh what is al that ABOOOOOOOT! shut up you canadian prick

  • floyd rose? Im afraid there is no help for you now my friend....

  • glue unstuck lol

open the back up and get a alen key and tighten it up

  • Rofl, yeah i didnt know what was happening at the time, so my guess was it was glued at first and then came unstuck and started to spin ahah.

and just to let everyone know, because im taking it noone reads my info on here,

Iv already sorted the problem, thanks to thisisbullshit anyone that has this problem i had, check out the video response and he sorts it out there! thanks.

  • floyd rose bridges are a pain to fix

i have one on my flying v and it sucks to tune to drop d from standard because you have to unlock it.

but it looks cool and sounds great

  • You could get a d tuna to go from e to d

  • i have a 87 edge trem so this may not work.

    take off the arm

take the back plate off and there should be a lil screw on the the back of where ur trem are screw is

    give it a few turns

and check if the srew isnt threaded

  • ye i just got a edge trem(ibanez rg770dxlb) for 300 bucks and the trem arm is annoying and ive tried that it doesnt work, i took it to a tech and they said they could put a floyd rose arm holder on the edge but im iffy about it should i do it?

  • to be honest, i would. only reason i havnt is because i dont have enough spare cash at the mo lol

id say go for it, will be better then the one on at the moment i bet! (recently i just cocked up my floyd so gonna have to take it to the shop to get it fixed haha, so maybe ill get it then)

  • Im not exactly going to call it a "LICENCED" am I? To be honest, my FLOYD has been fine even if it is licenced, iv never had any problems that everyone complains about with them accept the one you see in this video which was over a year ago.

Anyway im getting a ESP LTD Deluxe string thru soon so wont need to bother with trem's :P obviously im keeping the DEAN though :D

  • You don't deserve them. sry

  • Dont deserve what? Your opinion?

  • Hi pal

What you have done there is tightend the nut up too tight so it round the threads of and makes new ones. so its basicaly what you need to do its buy a new whammy bar and what will come with the bar is a replacement screw that you replace. Or if your guitar is under warranty take it back to the shop and play bollocks with them and they sould sort it.

    Cheers

    regards matt

  • Most licensed floyd roses don't have the part that makes the floyd stay still.

  • well thats yer problem

you need to get rid of that pos lic floyd and get a real floyd rose

or take the back plate off aget some plyers or a wrench that fits it to hold the nut in place and start turning the bar out

or just get a real floyd and you will never have this problem again

and it will sound so much better

  • Go crazy on it and drill a bunch of random holes in the body.

  • fer sure man

  • use a wrench the same size just put like a paper towl in between so it dont scratch it ok

  • K dudes, I got a vid up. Check it out.

  • Hey guys! I got the exactly same problem on my Explosion nowadays it'd be very helpful if someone could post or link a video to solve the problem or at least how to set-up the Floyd Rose if we're going to eventually have to unscrew the whole bridge...

  • get some pliers or a wrench and grab the bottom peace and unskrew it

    thats all

  • Hey bro, I can help. Have you solved the problem yet? If not, I can post a vid walking through it. I have almost the same setup and almost the same style guitar, a Dean ML Noir. Just let me know and I'll give you a hand.

  • Hey, only just got youtube working again haha, but yeah i figured it out, but if you would could you make that video as a response? cause im sure theres other people that have had my problem and also so i can check if iv done it right, thanks.

  • well it depends on how many pellicans u got, u got 20 uber views and they are like..................... LIES U TUBE

  • Moose u tard :)
