i sampled 2 different drums on both machines.

i prefer the 303 sound, but it's a question of taste.

but concerning the pads, i prefer way better the 303 pads (too).

What is quantizing?

quantizing is normally used in order to "correct" some imperfections when we record a rythmic pattern.

i finally sold the sp606, due to some bugs when palying 2fx and scrolling patterns at the same time...

i bought the sp505 wich is more complete and more stable.

You play like crap on the 404. The quantize can fix your horrible playing that's why. You even made mistakes at the beginning of the 303 part. Sell all your gear and get a desk job.

Note really,ive noticed this problem cropping up on the SP 404,a friend of mine uses the sp and has some issues with sequencing.

If you timing really sucks when inputting the beats,the 1/16 SHOULD just quantise it up,and will make it sound "good" if you know what i mean?

he was off beat on purpose, he was seeing if it would quantize for him. the 404 doesn't quantize as well as the 303. hater.

Hold up! There's a difference between being off-beat and being totally wrong when playing. He was so completely off that there is no way the machine can quantize it 'correctly'.

il 303 lo preferisco come suono, come pads e come midi.

il 404 ha un migliore sequencer, ma per il resto preferisco il 303.

its because u need the snare at 16th and the hi hat at 16th and your kick at 16th tripplet 16/3,,,and put them on different tracks ,,,, plus i dont think u know what your doin ,,, keep practicing

i've tried sp-606 as you see at the end of the video. i am disappointed with this machine. i sold that, because the autochop is limited, there is not a pitch function and sometimes there are bugs when you play 2fx at time with ROLL and patterns playng.

i had bought an sp-505.

yes, i know what you're talking about, but i tried with the same samples other times  and off beat also and i found a better response with the sp-303 quantizing/pads...that's what happen to me: sometimes the sp-404 even don't play some pads at all...

those are great machines but man quantizing sucks on them.

i've found that sp-404 pads are not very responsives. sp-303 (pad and quantizing) works better. with sp-404 you have to cut samples really really better than sp-303, that's why quantizing almost always sucks.

No man I only got the 303. I really like it. but I dont like that you cant add any bounce or different rhythm to the drum beats. If you got any tips let me know.
