I don't glorify the deaths of others but I disagree with the Communists in Malaysia. local and foreign investors were afraid to trade and do business with Malaysia because of these Communist insurgency. Besides, Communism only sounds good in theory but it does not create a progressive economy (since that everyone is paid the same as seen with free market and more capitalistic (doesn't have to be fully capitalist) nations. The Communist swere terrible shaming rich and middle class landowners.
In order to improve conditions of the workers, there should be responsibilities set between owners, managers and employees working for them. There can be enforcements of contracts for these. That's why there are such things as minimum wage, OH&S, SOPs, Anti-Discrimination and other workplace relations acts in order to improve workplace conditions. Trade Unions would represent the workers' interests while the Employers Association would represent the employers' interests as mediators.
