Communism does not destroy competition, it just levels the conditions to everybody so everybody begins from the same starting point. There is still competition for the best jobs, for the position of leadership.

Difference is that in a capitalist you have unfair competition becasue if you are born wealthy you have an advantage compared to the people born in poverty. It is like in a 1000 meter competition somebody stars at km 800. Not fair for who starts at km 0

@lvsoad22 you have a bad example, if he was born talented is because he is talented for himselve on his own merits, not on the merits of his parents.He brings something good to society, besides of apporting good genes for future generations. And can tell you that Billy Sheehan, who ever that is, spent hundreds of hours practicing guitar. Historically, most of the children of rich people tend to be incompetent spolied parasites. Like Paris Hilton just to give you an example.

@donnomar Paris Hilton does not represent the average rich person. And also talent can be honed and improved by practice, but people do have natural talents towards things. It's not just merits that made him talented, its his genetic luck of the draw. And you seem to have not met very many rich people. Most rich people I know work their kids to death to raise them to be successful as well.

Most of the big empires where build by one smart man, and most of them were destroyed not for their enemies but for the internal struggle of their sons for the power and also for their inneficienty to rule and to keep the empire together. That is the main reason why monarquies in Europe are now just symbolic and the power has been transfered to parliaments and ministers.

It is really very simple, humans are animals that thrive in competition. We all have separate consciousness, because of this we will always strive to be better than everyone around us. The only way communism could ever work is if every human had a shared consciousness. The strong survive while the weak perish, sugar-coat it all you want its still our nature. Maybe in the future we will be able to evolve out of that primal state but not anytime soon.

I don't have that instinct to win. I do have an instinct to survive until a certain point. My friends have a jealousy of my reflex, I'm quite not sure where I aquired it from...

If I had a higher amount of constant Dopamine I would think those cells would try to shut down.

This video is like nazi propaganda. It tries to demonstrate capitalist style, incentive-based motivation as existent outside of the capitalist mode of production. This is a completely stupid, non-historic way of analyzing human nature. The globe is capitalist (now at least) because Europeans developed capitalism and jammed their ideals down everyone's throat through colonialism, slavery and economic blackmail(Japan).
