Kindly explain to me why there was a need to add the characters to a ride that never ever lacked for attendance & has always been one of the top attractions. Wither you realize it or not they are bluntly marketing to you. The meaning of the ride has been gutted PERIOD. Theres no debate on that one.
I'm a big Disney fan, and I appreciate all this emphasis on plussing the attractions for younger generations. And I am at least a little grateful the new characters kinda-sorta-tried to fit into the "Old People's Ride".
But this is just pissing on Mary Blair's grave.
I don't give a damn if the kids don't like it! If the so called "Old People" don't like it, then they don't bring their "new-hip Children of Tomorrow". Fuck Bob Iger and "Imagineering". How they have disgraced that name!!!

I concur they are pissing on Mary Blairs legacy. Ive read the press & seen the media, STILL no straight answer on the need to plus a ride that has NEVER, EVER, suffered for attendance in 40 yrs. Naturally there are things that need updating BUT there are some things, iconic things, that need to stay as is. Main Street is SO 19th century! It needs to be brought up to the 21st and enclosed like a mall. It at least would be honest, as Disney is really nothing more than a mall anymore.
You people just don't get it! That ride is art. It's been around since the 64 World's Fair. The attendance has been unchanged. There was no reason to change it other than selling crap. (Plus I'm a kid. I've gone on that ride since I was a toddler.)

Me too the same idea.But i thought the rainforest was going back to the central america scene like in the new york world's fair and that the tiki children went to hawaii.But they moved it to hawaii and australlia because rainforests are in australia.
