You get a wheel next to your name when you use the wii wheel when racing. You get stars by your name by earning star ranks in the Grand Prix part of the game. Grand Prix ranks go E (worst), D, C, B, A, 1 star, 2 stars, 3 stars (best). You have to play Grand Prix and earn the stars. But to get 1 star, you have to earn 1 star on all the Grand Prix races. Same thing for 2 and 3 stars.

I played 2 hackers the other day, and the problem was one joined after the other one did so they were too busy killing eachother over who gets to stay and hack their group, while everyone else (including me) were beating them and they were coming in last each race! its pretty funny 2 watch some times ppl would just stop and watch them have a hissy fit at eachother.
