If you like counter attacks and fast attacking 4-1-3-2 works well.
If youre still having trouble with creating the really big chances with that formation, try switching to 4-3-3 to give opponent defence positioning problems.
Do you like holding the ball to your team and slowly build up attack, try reals formation, an offensive 4-2-3-1. 4-3-3 might work too but in games players often run way off, making them not available to pass, so 4-2-3-1 is better for dominant teams

Actually marcelo likes to go towards the centre and into the penalty area, while ronaldo and right winger (usually di maria) is either at the flank, in the area or holding back. The official formation of real is 4-2-3-1 but depending on match situations, you can call it many different. Actually when they´re attacking its more of a 2-4-1-3 and when defending it can be 4-5-1...
