they do often use interesting time signature changes, like in the song 'Throwin Shapes' or 'Burying Luck'. But this song is all in 4/4, they just use odd phrase lengths which make it sound much more complex

Erin (drummer) is one of the best and creative that know of. When ever I see a show from Minus the Bear live, he is always putting effort and energy into his playing. Also, he sweats balls and looks like he just ran a mile during, and after the show. This is why I love to hear this drummer.

The guitarist uses 4 sampling pedals called DL-4. He uses them to record guitar parts and play them back with a unique sound that you can't really get by playing normally.

The same thing happens at 2:35, but this time around, you get a shot right on the guitarist's feet to see what he's doing.
