Right now I'm only seventeen, but, I can't help imagining myself listening to this song in thirty years or so, standing in front of a barbecue with a cigar in one hand and a spatula in the other, having kids playing in the backyard whilst the sun is shining, and, it makes the thought of settling down a lot less scary.
I was 7 years old and I can remember my father playing all of Fats songs growing up. This and Blueberry Hill & Walking to New Orleans were my favorites. My older sister took me to a music concert at the DC Armory in Washington, DC. I remember Fats and The Shirelles and I believe Chubby Checker. Thanks so much for the memories. <3
