First off saying anyone who advocates a war but hasnt seen war is automatically a "chicken hawk" is saying Abraham Lincoln,Woodrew Wilson & Fraklin D. Roosevelt were all "chickenhawks" being none of them ever saw war personally but helped advocate it.Secondly it's ill-logical to think everyone who supports a war should go fight it. If that was the case "the fight"wouldnt last cause their would be no one here to keep backing it to keep it going.
@acetong1990 I think there is an age as well as economic component to the expression. You have many young folks (military age) advocating the war, but for whatever reason not going to fight. Now, the ones who go and fight...generally comes from people of a lower economic strata while people living in a higher economic strata i.e. children of congress men and women do not go and fight. Wars are most often fought at the expense of the poor.

WW2 was a different story than Iraq. When Japan attacked us we declared war on get this...Japan. Iraq did not attack us.

First off saying anyone who advocates a war but hasnt seen war is automatically a "chicken hawk" is saying Abraham Lincoln,Woodrew Wilson & Fraklin D. @acetong1990 I think there is an age as well as economic component to the expression. You have many young folks (military age) advocating the war, but for whatever reason not going to fight. Now, the ones who go and fight...generally comes from people of a lower economic strata while people living in a higher economic strata i.e. children of congress men and women do not go and fight. Wars are most often fought at the expense of the poor.

It is whether one advocates a specific war,is of proper age&physical condition to fight,yet chooses not to go. Lincoln was in the military in Black Hawk War as a Capt., Mounted Rangers as a Pvt., and was in the Independent Spy Corps.

I disagree with him and call him "names" based on his right wing ideology. Based on his enthusiasm for war but unwillingness to join up and fight. Using your logic, is someone who vehemently opposes Obama to be assumed a racist? I think not! They are people who don't like his policies. That's fair.

@acetong1990 Actually no it's not, it comes from someone who advocates war, but does not have the balls to actually fight it, rather instead want other people to fight the battle for them.
No it actually makes perfect sense, and yes, Lincoln, Wilson, and Roosevelt were chickenhawks.
And yes, it is logical to think everyone who supports the war should fight it, or at least pay a war tax. And it's not a bad thing for no one to be supporting war lol.
