  • When installing the new fuser route the power through the inside rather than the outside (the old fuser had it routed correctly - the new fuser had it routed incorrectly). If you route it around the outside it will keep the metal "slider" on the rear exit assembly from moving freely when duplexing.

  • YES! Def wait for it to cool!

  • @Georox4 No just handle it carefully knowing it's hot and set it aside where it won't hurt you or anything. As a field tech if I waited for fusers to cool before removal I'd be onsite forever. This fuser you handle by the base anyway, just remember the area by the rollers is hot. Turning the unit off is important though.
