Although I suppose one could argue that this is a younger version of Flash and he hasn't figured all of his abilities out yet.

The reason I don't like Superman is because he has too many superabilities. He has superstrength, ability to fly, super speed, x-ray vision, and invincibility. Jeez, anything they missed out. Why would Superman need help if he is so powerful. He comes straight out of a comic book.

Kryptonite is used almost everywhere and magnified/utilized with everything lol. Just walking down the street, Clark would pass out due to a new street light or something.

I think what they did was, they ignored all the Flash characters and made one Flash named Bart. And I'm glad they did because it wouldn't make sense in real life. In Smallville there is only one flash, Bart Allen.

I also think his speed is just as fast as the other characters in the comic books, that's what I think regardless of what wikipedia says lol.

Actually Bart Allen is Barry Allen's grandson from the future. He has an aging problem and is taken to Wally West by Iris Allen, Barry's wife, to help him. Bart is stabilized and Wally tries to get him to be Kid Flash and follow his legacy but Bart laughs and says he'd rather go by Impulse and doesn't really take the Flash role seriously. He does eventually become Flash though. It's cool how in Smallville they use a less known Flash though.

Thats Only cuz he unconciously put a mental block on himself so he couldn't run any faster in fear of replacing Barry. When He finally removed that block, it is then known that he can actually move as fast as he brain can imagine. He can easily run past the speed of light in his usual jogging pace.

Because Smallville doesn't actually follow the storyline of the comics. Bart didn't even exist at this time. Right now it should be Barry as the Flash and Wally as Kid Flash. So this should really be Wally.

Dune, go back and watch the episode run and you'll see they do mention Wally west and Barry Allen. When Clark is reading the names on his fake I.D.'s And besides this is its own story. It isn't a prequel for the dc comics so they have the ability to change characters.

WELL, THIS, AND CLARK's FINAL FIGHT AGAINST BRAINIAC (electricit was frozen in time), showed the true sppeed of those two guys....Bart had to run JUST around above lightspeed( remember lionel's discoverind they were luminal speeds?) ,OR at least around it, to be able to not trigger the pressure plates, OR GET electrocuted anyway, because electricity moves at such a speed, few things aren't "frozen in time" in thst realm...examples would be Electrons and Photons...nothing else..
