  • Ojouzu desu!

I wish I could play my instruments with as much skill. The music was very exciting.

  • awful!!!!!!!!!!!

  • BLASFEMA A LA HOGUERA

  • Its so nice, still you are trying to play it faster than John Williams^^ Slow down a little its a beautiful piece even in slower tempo.

  • dejale el instrumento a alguien que sepa y ponte a estudiar.

    lo vas a romper.

  • sweet sounding guitar! love it!

  • Love it

  • What type of strings are used here?

  • VIHUELA

  • He plays really nice, but that guitar need some intonation, very old guitar I guess...

  • Yeah it would be nice to hear a slightly nicer guitar. But for what it's worth, the slightly-out-of-tune style of many instruments is what gives them character and perhaps such is what we see here... Haha but I agree I wish the intonation was a little better.

  • Very cool! Is this generally how the piece originally sounded?

  • a mi me gustó mucho más allá de los historicistas auténticos snobistas, guacala

  • slow down man, you are killfast and your right hand picky is on guitar, that is not good....

  • yes he has to play it slower but is little finger is in the right place to play baroque guitar, lute , vihuela.

  • is old technique used by Aguado also by Carcasi but like everything in this world guitar technique evolved. soooo why don't use something that makes things easier?

  • becase you don't play 1 string a time but you have to play 2 , with the modern classical technique is harder, the hand is always moving and this is not good for courses instruments because the movement to play this kind of instruments is more accurate than on a classical guitar, the movement is against the soundboard like you want to touch it and than you release it ,so if you don't have a finger that make your hand blocked is quite impossible to play.

  • I've seen guys doing that, with no finger on the soundboard. is not imposible is even easier... but I respect your opinion.... I do not belive in good technique or bad technique, only in what makes you play. because in the end this is what is important

  • you right the technique evolve , but with the guitar, this kind of guitar was not made to play it in modern technique.

  • Your fingers remind me of old paintings I have seen of lute players. The angle in which you hold them when you pluck the strings is very interesting. Thank you for sharing your talent--and nimble fingers!

  • YIAK !!!!!

  • that was how to kill a masterpiece(canarios)with poor playing

  • Felicidades por el don que Dios te dio

  • Right hand must be improved.

  • Very interesting. The instrument has a timbre sort of inbetween a modern classical guitar and a cittern.

  • Si de accuerdo hay bastante mas de trabajo a hacer para tocar con sonodos puros...

  • beautiful playing, great style !

  • hello, can anyone tell me the name of the guitar John Williams uses on the recording of Concierto de Aranjuez, I mean the guitar with the structure inside which looks similar to the cells inside a bee nest. Thanks!!!

  • It's a Greg Smallman -- an Australian luthier. You can pick one up for $30,000!

  • thank you very much jamesluc!! yeah I thought they would be very expensive jaja.. thanks again

  • it is a greg smallman guitar dont by one if your not rich there 20,000 and a 15year waiting list

  • thanks! I knew they were expensive, just forgot the name... I´m not intending to get one. thanks again

  • ok then every one wants one the tone is very nice on them

  • abso lute ly blill that is a beatiful instrument.bye

  • the sound of your guitar is interesting

  • Bastante desagradable, la verdad.. esa guitarra suena muy mal.

  • Bravo!take care, Yorgos

  • Dear AKIRA

You play very well, but you need to slow down to be able to keep up with what you're playing, I would love to see you redo this piece at a slower tempo.

    Regards

  • This is the original instrument for this piece, huh? Interesting. I'm familiar with one of this instrument's descendants which has kept the paired string timbre but with less strings. It's a folk instrument but it sounds great. Would be interested to see what Cubans would make of the Baroque guitar:

  • A bit sloppy but sounds good!

  • I didn't know Sanz wrote that, WOW its that old...How old is that guitar? Where was it made? Are those nylon strings? Thanks for posting this!! Very cool!

  • This guitar was made on the latter half of the 18th century.

And Reproduced by courtesy of Taro Takeuchi.

    Strings are nylgut and sheepgut.

  • Not bad. Why not play it slower. Before you can play something fast perfectly, you have to be able to play it perfectly at the highest speed you can.And build speed from there.

  • Thanks for your advise.

It is to try chellenging to my limit.

  • @jesuisravi because its so fucking fun :p

  • Where did you obtain that guitar?

  • I bought this guitar from Mr.Taro Tkeuchi who is a professional lute and early guitar player.

  • Beautiful. I love Canarios.

  • Thank you for your comment.

  • yes, and besides, that piece is very hard to play well. Props to the Guitarist

  • VERY nice!! It is so great to hear pieces like this played on period instruments.

  • Thank you.

But, I am not satisfied with this performance.

  • it needs to be much cleaner its messy

  • Messiness is sometimes a part of period technology.
