I would probably support separation of church and state, but I don't like the term. Why? Because, on the Internet, I have seen atheists proclaim that anyone who denies evolution is not qualified for POTUS, which is just as bad as neocons in my book. What I like is government neutrality towards religion, beliefs, and lack thereof.
But this makes it a federal law, meaning individual states still reserve the right to govern themselves on top of or alongside what federal law dictates...
also to the maker of the video; rock on! believe it or not, you are one of the very few christians I've heard that would say that the separation of church and state is a good thing. I'm glad that the whole reason for 'fleeing to america' a couple hundred years ago wasn't forgotten
so if one day you get out of bed and decide that there is no god you are going to just start killing people and eating babies. wow man you are messed up.
wow there are still people like you who believe that? boy do you think your shit don't stink. If it was all about being in a Christian society, then why haven't non Christian societies torn each other apart? derr. I'm an atheist, and my morals don't come from christianity, although some things do tend to agree with it; for instance*do unto others...etc*......and at least i don't think homosexuals should be put to death... like you would/should
the whole doing the oath on the bible is silly anyway; christians as well as non christians break that oath all the time. It's not like its a sure fire way of stopping someone from lying
If you're speaking of the president's oath before taking office; Article II, Section I has the oath, but nowhere mentions the Bible. It's not federal law.
You are a rare breed of christian, most christains see athiest as lost souls in need of help, and feel the need to "share Gods word", when an athiest asks them to respect our belifs and just leave us be as we leave them be, they take offence, but thank you for your non-discrinimate view
We all believe in the will of God. That is the Baha'i marriage law that each person must say to be wed. This means that some people would not or could not say this and they do not get to marry a Baha'i. Baha'is can marry all people. Islam, Jewish, Christian, Buddist, Hindu, but above quote must be said. Now would you be able to say this quote in good conscience. What about the other independant candidates
I believe in the will of God, but obviously there are those that do not. Other independents must answer for themselves. My goal is to become president, not a reporter on independents. I infer that you believe the latter could lead to the former, but I do not.
Every body or soul is somebody. When you say I do not believe in the will of god would you feel different about saying 'we all very abide by the will of god'?
None of the Top tier Repub;icans want to waste their time on this stupid youtube debate by CNN. It made the DUMBOCRATS look even dumber if thats at all possible. Maybe YT's little darlin of vid spammers won't get a chance to stick that moronic Ron Paul they have been shoving out to everybody everyday to debate himself. Nah, CNN will cancel ROTFLMFAO!!!
If CNN/YouTube hold their ground and have the debate with whoever shows up, the Republicans will be forced to participate. They must realize they are facing a huge name recognition battle and they are losing. Ask my neighbor or coworker who is running for president besides me and you get "Clinton and Obama". Ask them to name one Republican and they can't. The Republicans must participate or they have no chance in '08.
thanks for saying cool stuff about Atheists. From a faith point of view

The "no religious test" clause of the United States Constitution is found in Article VI, section 3, and states that:
" ...no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.

The 14th amendment says that all federal laws apply to the states.

I think my country has had enough of its traditions ruined by the atheist crusades on religious culture.
The only reason atheists still have self control and moral fiber is because of the Christian society they live in.
Skyrenx 4 years ago
You can be atheist and be moral. Has nothing to do with christian society.

Thanks JustOneEarth. Hopefully there are more out there like me, and the ones that give us the bad name are just the more visible ones.

whats the point in doing oath on a bible if your athiest?
idissuthenudissme 4 years ago
I am not an atheist. The oath on the Bible would have meaning for me that it may not for others.

Thanks. The Jesus Christ I know of never forced anyone to follow him. It was always a choice. I try to follow His example.
