The Vepsian is one of all those Fenno-Ugric peoples (lingually related to Hungarians & Samis & Estonians etc) that became moved and push away on & on during world wars.
@BaboonBro Veps are still living in thouse places they have been living before World war 2 and even World war 1. They were never pushed anywhere! And they lingually related to south Karelians (Livvi), and as for Hungarian they hame as much in common as English and Sanskrit
In addition to what Bezmolvie and BaboonBro said, Vepsian is a Baltic-Finnic (or Finno-Baltic) language, which also includes Finnish, Estonian, Livonian, Votic, Karelian, etc.
The Finno-Baltic languages are a branch of the Finno-Ugric family (on the "Finno" side, Hungarian and others make up the "Ugric" side), which is one of the two branches of the Uralic family (the other being the Samoyed languages of Siberia). Google "Vepsian Society" for more information about the Vepsian people. :)
Bosnians have similar style of singing.

What country is this again.... Hungary? Can't! Sounds ancient Indian/Mongolosian. Earth cry in the distant sun. I'm feeling a sudden chill!

Geographically like bezmolvie says.
I adore this melancholy: the voice of the Taiga.

BaboonBro, sorry for the delay in replying. I'm glad for the info regarding the geographics of this earthy-cry music. It's both great and different,
