well he didn't....BUT on the mobile version he had 3 rings in the last level.Reason I know cuz I have it on my phone and it have rings in the Death egg

death egg robot is nowhere near as good as he used to be. I thunk they should have given classic sonic more bosses and have them as the hit 8 times thing.
