Cats don't learn well that way. I have 3 that are afraid of the vacuum, and I think they will always be afraid.

I have a fear of heights. I overcame it a bit by routinely by walking across our city bridge; but within months of stopping the fear is back. Go figure.

aw poor kitty. If yu are serious into phobiatraining with her then you should not force her like this as that could never get her face her fear in her way. You could let the vacuum stay in the room for a while untouched so she have the chance to investigate it in piece without you. Maybe even put some catnip on it. Then you can start to move it around slowly but without turning it on. Give her time. My cat fear the vacuum too
