I did love this movie a lot. And i loved the book too. Frankly, what they changed they changed for the better. Can you imagine what it would have been like if it had been a literal translation? Boring as hell. The whole book is basically two things: a flashback and the kids creeping around. Very little actually happens. As such, by playing up the action, you get to see the maturity of the characters as well as the desperation of the world to return to normality. Full price for me.

The thing about this movie is that it is a lot 'darker' than 'The Lion, Witch and Wardrobe' (LWW for reference) True the LWW does have that whole sacrificing Aslan scene but we could live with that because there were creatures of dark nature doing it. Now that humans are seen as the bad guys it's all turned around and the action is a lot more exciting. It's not the most amazing thing in history but it's certainly not terrible.

Well, you do know that Aslan=Jesus=God, right? If he acts too soon, then there will be no story. God lets people learn their lesson before acting on their behalf. If He didn't, and He just solves people's problems, then the people become lazy assholes.
I'll respect the artistic license that the movie used to stray from the book, but I feel that the movie should have worked on developing the characters more. Honestly, if I didn't know the story beforehand, I would have been totally clueless on like half the characters in the movie.

As for comparing it to LOTR, well it does have some similarities especially the war scenes, but you have to remember this is a kid/family movie. LOTR was a lot darker and heavier than this. And well, I don't know why but I find Narnia more exciting than LOTR. Sorry. :P
funny, the minotaurs doesn't look and act so badass. They're like harmless cow like humans with weapons to be sacrificed in a dramatic way. i guess I've been comparing them to earthshaker from DOTA which is a badass.

Full price - it's good to see on the wide screen. I like that they did offer tension between Caspian and Peter which was missing in the book. In the book, it's very British like - "jolly ho! Good to have you onboard! Let's whip these rapscallions, shall we?"
what I love about the Narnia movies is the animals! In the first movie, the animals are split up: the cheetahs, leopards, rhinos, and others are all on the good side, and the wolves, polar bears, and tigers, etc are on the bad side. But in Prince Caspian, ALL the animals are on the good side: Cheetahs, tigers, wolves, leopards, cougars, black leopards, bears, griffins, unicorns, mice (lol) and many others. The only thing the Telmarians have is guys on horses! LOL

I said going in that if this movie turns uot bad it will only be because the book that its based on wasn't very good (I love the Narnia series, but Prince Caspian was arguably the weakest installment).

C.S. Lewis was not an atheist while writing the chronicles of Narnia. He was an atheist as a young man and then returned to christianity.
Narnia very much is a christian allegory, I still love it though.

I didnt like this second movie as much as I did the first one. The only part I really liked was when Caspian was about to bring the evil witch back that would of made the whole story more enjoyable I think.
I dont know it was something in the middle of the movie that just lost my attention.

lol..no, srs'ly the religious subtext was fairly subtle in the books. Present, but subtle.
Im downloading Prince Caspian now.
Also, i can understand why they skipped over The Silver Chair, but the next movie better be Voyage Of The Dawn Treader, my favorite of the books, even over Magician's Nephew (which is awesome)

Full price - it's good to see on the wide screen. I like that they did offer tension between Caspian and Peter which was missing in the book. In the book, it's very British like - "jolly ho! Good to have you onboard! Let's whip these rapscallions, shall we?"

i liked the first one better, i prefer drama over action. but eh, this was okay.
id give it a full price to high rental.

what I love about the Narnia movies is the animals! In the first movie, the animals are split up: the cheetahs, leopards, rhinos, and others are all on the good side, and the wolves, polar bears, and tigers, etc are on the bad side. But in Prince Caspian, ALL the animals are on the good side: Cheetahs, tigers, wolves, leopards, cougars, black leopards, bears, griffins, unicorns, mice (lol) and many others. The only thing the Telmarians have is guys on horses! LOL

I said going in that if this movie turns uot bad it will only be because the book that its based on wasn't very good (I love the Narnia series, but Prince Caspian was arguably the weakest installment).
I think I actually liked the movie better than the book. They actually made it interesting.

I hated the first Narnia movie. I was expecting a good battle out of the first but got trolled. Narnia: Prince Caspian is better. Longer and more entertaining battles this time around. Not to mention it has better cinematography, special effects and music. Full Price!

I love the books, but I HATE these movies. The movie is repetitive, it's just battle scene after battle scene & all the best characters like Reepicheep don't get enough screen time.
It's worse than the first film (& I didn't even like the first film).
NOTE: Remember, I love the books, I just hate this series cause I think the books are poorly adapted.

I thought thy'd finish it in an hour since they zoomed through the book so fast. I thought in the beginning it would be lame, but the battles as usual do not dissapoint, and the telmarines were BAD-ASS. I thought it was much better than the book.

i hate this film. i don't mind the story, but the posh, snob gits that is supposed to like, but i don't. i hate their posh british accent. i am britain myself, and i am sick to death of all these posh voices. i have never in my entire life heard someone talk like the kids do in this movie.

The dialogue was just so...blah. I loved the first movie because of its dialogue and emotions and human character...this one just had stabbing and stuff. The prince guy was fucking hot, though. He was the only reason, beside my boyfriend, I didn't fall asleep through the movie...
