Personally I view the two as possible brothers, and would never view one as being superior to the other. I love Shockwave like crazy but I have respect for his brother Soundwave. If the two ever did collaborate together, it would create a vortex so powerful that even Unicron wouldn't dare go near it.

@HaloStroudsburgBoy TFA is awesome of you give it a chance. Superior storietelling, the characters are spot on, its at times funny. The only complaint is the animation, but that you can quickly look ower once you seen a few episodes, and it actually makes the action scenes much more... fluent.
Oh, and its littered with Generacion one references as candy for G1 fans. Really now, i have seen no better tribute to the transformers franchise as TFA.
@Hyeesa Totally agree. Once you get over the 'shock' of the art style, TFA is easily the best TF storytelling I've encountered since the Marvel comics days. The old show may be nostalgic, but watch it again and it's utter silliness. That goes triple for the live action films, too. Ironically, TFA is almost everything I'd want from a new TF show/movie as an 'adult' fan... fun, exciting, great characters and writing, and a plot that actually matters. It's a shame the art puts so many folks off.
There's a big contrast between Classic TV Show Shockwave and Marvel Comics Shockwave. In the comics, he beat Megatron so bad that Megatron was begging to be killed. When Shockwave came in the room, you'd shit yourself, he was that bad.
I prefer the loyalty of Shockwave in the tv series, but the firepower, fear and brute intelligence from the comics. Comic book ass-kicking Shockwave would made sure female Autobots were extinct for good... or at least succeeded in sending Elita One to Megatron and made the other female Autobots his bitches. >:)

I can't say this with enough stern ferocity but Fuck Michael Bay and FUCK transformers 3! I never, ever exaggerate because I feel it dilutes your opinion but revenge of the fallen was the biggest, most putrid piece of unmitigated shit I've ever seen and it's easily the worst movie in history. I won't ever watch it again, and I definitely won't see TF3 which will capitalize its failures in the first two by being "more human focused". I could smother that fucking bastard. Really!
True, and ROTF was terrible etc etc...but now he's put Shockwave in the Third Movie, it feels like a direct challenge not just to me (when you think about it) but to anyone who liked any incarnation of the charecter.

I think in a recent interview, Shia Lebouf did mention something about the Space Bridge and recent leaks of the junior novelization indicate that The Matrix is in the film.
Starscream is somewhat cool, but he is whiny baby. And not just because of his "on helium" voice, but mostly because he is a loser. He thinks he is so much better then Megatron, but his attemps to overthrow him usually end up with Starscream flying away as fast as he can dodgeing lazer fire. All he could do was to throwout his beatup leader. But then one just needs to see how his coranation turned out.
Yeah true, but I believe Starscream has potential. Its just that he never learned to unleash that potential. I'm a G1 Starscream fan, but "Animated" Starscream looks cool too. Tom Kenny does a good job trying to bring back Starscream's G1 Rasppy voice that Chris Latta gave him. But again Shockwave is cool, I just wished he'd be able to transform into something besides a giant cybertronian laser cannon.
i love his new color scheme, almost reminds me of "Shackwave" Its good to see Corey back as my favorite Decepticon , not to mention his voice as Megs totally owns. Im a G1 fan and i love Frank Welker, but Corey sounds more sinister as Megatron. He talks almost like a Sith Lord.

Ironically, TFA is almost everything I'd want from a new TF show/movie as an 'adult' fan... fun, exciting, great characters and writing, and a plot that actually matters. It's a shame the art puts so many folks off.

There's a big contrast between Classic TV Show Shockwave and Marvel Comics Shockwave. In the comics, he beat Megatron so bad that Megatron was begging to be killed. When Shockwave came in the room, you'd shit yourself, he was that bad.

I prefer the loyalty of Shockwave in the tv series, but the firepower, fear and brute intelligence from the comics. Comic book ass-kicking Shockwave would made sure female Autobots were extinct for good... or at least succeeded in sending Elita One to Megatron and made the other female Autobots his bitches. >:)

Yeah but he died.. Alot of deaths werent animated but the characters were listed as dead/never seen again afterwards. huffer, red alert, bluestreak, shockwave... quite a few actually.

scince its not in the cartton we can asume that he just hid in the slums of cybertron after the attack to stop being captured by the autobots and he refuses to rule under galvatron because he was never as great a leader as megatron

Shockwave`s one of my favorite Transformers. He was bad ass in the comics. No other Decepticon could`ve killed all the Autobots and replace Megs as leader better than him!

Shock wave was a model Decepticon, and the poorest written character of the entire Transformers universe.
If Megatron were to get destroyed, I wouldn't have a problem seeing Shockwave leading the Decepticons

I can't say this with enough stern ferocity but Fuck Michael Bay and FUCK transformers 3! I never, ever exaggerate because I feel it dilutes your opinion but revenge of the fallen was the biggest, most putrid piece of unmitigated shit I've ever seen and it's easily the worst movie in history. I won't ever watch it again, and I definitely won't see TF3 which will capitalize its failures in the first two by being "more human focused". I could smother that fucking bastard. Really!

Well, Prime and Megatron were the bigger challenges because everyone is more critical of them.
Shockwave will no doubt be an abysmal failure like everything else. But I'll never know. I've written transformers off forever. Not only are the live action movies complete SHIT beyond SHIT, but the cartoons are childish and stupid too. Everything is getting progressively worse, but whats most demoralizing is the fact that all the fans want it this way. I'm out.

Starscream is somewhat cool, but he is whiny baby. And not just because of his "on helium" voice, but mostly because he is a loser. He thinks he is so much better then Megatron, but his attemps to overthrow him usually end up with Starscream flying away as fast as he can dodgeing lazer fire. All he could do was to throwout his beatup leader. But then one just needs to see how his coranation turned out.

Yeah true, but I believe Starscream has potential. Its just that he never learned to unleash that potential. I'm a G1 Starscream fan, but "Animated" Starscream looks cool too. Tom Kenny does a good job trying to bring back Starscream's G1 Rasppy voice that Chris Latta gave him. But again Shockwave is cool, I just wished he'd be able to transform into something besides a giant cybertronian laser cannon.

i love his new color scheme, almost reminds me of "Shackwave" Its good to see Corey back as my favorite Decepticon , not to mention his voice as Megs totally owns. Im a G1 fan and i love Frank Welker, but Corey sounds more sinister as Megatron. He talks almost like a Sith Lord.
