Nice intro, guitar work, even smooth vocals. But I seriously don't know why The Rosebuds don't have the gal sing lead on every song. Like in "I Better Run." C'mon, please.
oh yeah...and box car also....how the hell could i forget to say that song.....that was the first song i heard that made me a fan of their music........just simply brilliant ......you guys are the best!!!!!!!!!!
fabulous song...I am such a fan of the rosebuds......when the lights went dim and another way in have got to be their greatest songs.........along with leaves do fall and back to boston.......i would love to see them live one day.....they are just simply PERFECT!!!!!
Alright here is the list of some bands you may or may not be interested in: M83 Van She WFANFC Dave Thomas Vampire Weekend Partial Arts Illinois The Mary Onettes Bat for Lashes We Were Promised Jetpacks Does it Offend you? Yea Dirty Projectors Rogue Wave The Airborne Toxic Event
@amigaos4 You should Check out teenagersintokyo-very vampyr..I like alot of those bands you mention. Airborne though only has one song I like and thats their first single. lol
@Paintz921 If you ever heard of Regina Spektor give her a look up for the single "Us". Or try Pop Levi-Wannamama. Just a few things I have been listening to. If you want a classic tune look up the The Smiths-There is a light that never goes out. If you have any more you could share with me let me know!
I stumbled across the remix with T-Pain on Myspace and then listened to this version and immediately liked it. I listen to this song like 5 times a day. The chords are great but I really like the heavy bass and drums on it. The video is very original and creative, although I wish it wasn't so hard to see!
I do like the message as well, even though somewhat shocking. Then again, that's art. It's the conscience of humanity.
Around here, the deer must be harvested. It's just impossible to let them breed exponentially. But just because one kills an animal doesn't mean that one shouldn't have a profound love and respect for the creature. That's something the native people around here understood, at least that's my interpretation.
Great video and music. I think this video is inspired (at least) in some native american cultures that have the deer as an important deity in their religions (raramuri (tarahumara) and wirrarika (huichol) cultures, for example).
I've stumbled upon them by pure accident and I think it's safe to say their album is among my top 10. Right above pink floyd's "obscured". They are everything that should be going on in the music industry, although, I'm not sure I want them to be. They are marvelous just the way they are.
I've been going through all of this indie music based on one of my teacher's list of CDs that he owns. And while Josh Rouse is by far my favorite musician I ended up rating this band "Best/10"
They seem to have everything, great vocals, great lyrics, greatest compliment of vocals and instrumentals. And the most important part (or so I consider) they have variation and they actually experiment. No other band has come together this well.
Video and song are tops...direction is awesome

Also, another Producer / TD credit should go to Ana Wolovick, and a Compositing credit to Chih Peng. Just sayin'. :)
