Everytime I listen to EITS (Which is everyday) I become overwhelmed with the most calming feeling. I've almost stopped listening to anything with lyrics just because of how intense the emotions you get from instrumental music are.

save your money and take a vacation to america. they're playing shows for their 10th anniversary tour this summer. the one in austin on july 4th is probably closest to you, and you could stay in the international hostel here for 30 dollars a night.

There's no way u can compare those three bands 2gether. EITS said they don't even like to be called Post-Rock, b/c they hate labels. Musically, GYBE is much more dramatic (longer songs) than the other two and they are nontet, I think. EITS is guitar-oriented. Sigur Ros don't have a lot of build ups in their songs like EITS and GYBE, plus have a great vocalist. So, they CANNOT be compared.

Not only that, GYBE demands patient from its audience b/c of the build-ups. Like BBFF or 09-15-00, most people I showed the songs to couldn't get through it. EITS, to quote from them, is "a pure rock band." Sigur Ros is beautiful. GYBE is majestic. EITS is the sh*t!

Honestly, I listen to Mogwai all the time and I often forget that it IS Mogwai I'm listening to. Songs like Golden Porsche, Acid Food, Emergency Trap, beautiful songs.

I can hear a lot of early Mogwai come through in some EitS songs - especially ones like Greet Death. But they have gone their own way.

Sigur Ros have quite a few build ups, but they're placed differently to EitS, and are generally less overwhelming. The only "fault" I find with some EitS songs is that they just fade after the first build up or two. But, it isn't stopping me seeing them on the 29th of this month. Cannot wait at all.
