Why does Luffy have a gun and sword in this picture? Luffy doesn't know how to use a sword; he states that in the Arlong Park arc. Also, Sanji doesn't use guns either. And why doesn't Chopper have a more manly outfit?

Cause he's a pirate and Pirates most have swords and guns. It's one of Odachi's color-spreads so if ya want a more elaborate explanation, send in a letter to his SBS.

@Quadraxis I guess it's because it's through the filter of Japanese minds and THEIR pirates would wield Katanas. From a Western standpoint we always think of pirates using sabers though. It doesn't quite explain why ALL the strong sword fighters use Katanas though-- they should have made them fight swordsmen that fenced or used other styles of swordsmanship.
