with oil you can do a lot and if russia were to manufacture products/materials through the use of oil and mining, they'd be making more money than selling oil instead or raw materials but the thing is, russia lacks innovations, knowledge and good bureaucracy.

American economy is falling to pieces too. My hours are getting cut back at where I work and I can't find an other job. Bush just keeps printing more money. And when Obama becomes President, He going to print even more money than Bush.

At least Russia has oil and China manufactures tangible products. What does America have today besides a lot of debt and an over stretched military? America needs real leadership to rebuild its industries and start producing again like we did right after WW2.

Yea it's true we fell hard but we didn't fall as hard as Russia.

The Russian economy is based MOSTLY(not entirely) on it's oil and gas profits. Gas prices are falling and therefore so is Russia.

I still respect Russia but it badly needs to diversify it's economy.
