i just want to challenge the perspective this video gives. The Old ones speak about the gift of walking in balance and that when a child comes into this walk, the community watches that child order to discover that child's gift so that it will be nurtured. Whether they are male or female is not important, it is their gift they bring. And a go-between or two spirit person is a gift to the community and equally as important as a medicine person, shaman, master basket weaver....
Western culture, the result of colonization and the intergenerational impact of residential schools have confused our people and have put sex in the forfront of a gift that is sacred as all gifts are and all people are. Everyone is sacred and close to our Creator. It's unfortunate that this teaching has gotten lost in translation as there are no words in any of the Aboriginal languages that refer to homosexual. Sex was not shameful, sex was used for a variety of reasons. It has no category.
I know of many hetrosexual people who walk with that balance of male and female energy and unfortunately their labelled gay and I know of many gay people who do not walk with that balance. We were mediators between the men and women. We helped the men and women understand each other. We were versatile in our roles within community. It is a gift to be able to affectively work with men and women. Not too many people can do that. Sex was not shameful, sex was used for a variety of reasons.

The Medicine wheel holds these teachings of balance and doesn't differentiate between men and women......so the next time you have your gaydar on.....instead of judging a person on who they love or choose to share their bodies with....try acknowledging their gift of walking in balance.......cause your gaydar isn't always right.
where can you purchase, download or watch this film. I really want to see but have been unable to find any information as to how to obtain it by searching the net
i can't find this movie anywhere -_-
