  • this is so sad.

  • Hey! Deaf Blind people are part of society. They do learn differently, and it's fine. I've been able to interpret for a few Deaf blind people and they are able to comprehend what is going on around them

  • hey thats not really nice to talk about the triplets so i suggest if you dont nothing to say nice dont comment again thank u but that was rude and disrespectful.god doesnt like you commenting to them like that

  • @lostjedi26 there gonna be lickin up shit to perceive the world. they cant hear pussy.

  • @Nahlzz please just shut the fuck up

  • Heh her last names "Hooker"

  • @siaic if God would show his skills clearly then everbody should accept that there is a God, because of it there are believers and unbelivers. God is seen everyday if you carefully look, so perfect-complicated human bodie can not be created by kinds of coincidences; think about it our world works perfectly ; everything works just as it was before planned, if humans dont break it. It means God shows himself with his actions every day. I dont care if you believe or not i just find ur ideas wrong.

  • @siaic it is certainly your choice how , what to believe but i advice you to believe in God; if he doesnt exist then you will not have anytigh to loose but if there is a God you will loose everything , mathematically it is logic to believe because you dont have anything to loose.

  • @siaic well , all of us are here to have a home for our real life ; a home from heaven, full of goodness, love or a home from hell, full of evil, sadness. some of us are being examinated with bad conditions like illness , poverty and some others with good conditions like reachness , popularity , health. It is just like, a teachers exams his class ; Some students have difficult questions to answer but with high points and Some students have simple questions to answer but with low points.

  • @siaic well , i have premature born triplets , we and our doctors have done everything that we could and my children live. I am so thankful to doctors and medicine , but im much more thankfull to God. The doctors do the same treatments for other patients but they sometimes fail. I dont mean he should not go to doctor if someone sick is. But sometimes medicine can not do anything , blindness is a common example. I hope they will find a treatment for all other severe diseases.

  • why does that one girl have glasses if she can't see?

  • @198952572 she's the only triplet that still has a small sense of sight

the other two r completely blind

  • What ever you did, you're doin it wrong.

  • Poor triplets, I can't imagine being deaf and blind at the same time :(

  • @TheBatmanSmells yah thats no way to live like wtf

  • you should take your children to the deaf school to learn America Sign Langage (ASL). Your children will commmunication with you well.

  • @Taina15 how will they see the signs ... there blind too

  • There are many, many ways to perceive the world, not just through sight and sound. We have five senses, and they will learn, with much time and care, how to live in a world without two of them.

Many, many things are possible with technology today, and the human heart has no end to its capacity to love.

It's one thing to ask educated questions, another to presume falsely that we have the authority to determine who lives and who doesn't. They're not braindead, just deaf blind.

  • How can some of you even suggest that they're not people and shouldn't live like that? You're basically saying Helen Keller shouldn't have existed. If you read her journal and her other writings, don't stand there and say she wasn't a person. How shallow and narrow-minded.

As a blind person with a hearing loss, I take deep offense to such comments.

  • wow it must be weird being them! only with blankness and no sound.

  • @nickg887 how rude

  • As a muslim I believe in that Deafness or Blindness etc. is a thing given by the God. Because God loves these people and want them all in Paradise.

  • @umitcanturk As a Christian, amen.

  • Everybody has to thank to God for what he /she has. I saw many people who were so angry and sad because of being flu. And they tell it as if it is disaster. My triplets were born 3 months earlier and one of them was just operated for Cochlear Implant and certainly they have some difficulties , but we struggle with all and we have always great hopes for the future.

  • This is bullshit! Why do they need to spend $60,000 a year to be helped? If you want to help people don't go spend so much time, money and study if you are only going to charge thousands of dollars to people who can't afford it or could better use to money at home. Making large profit from helping contradicts helping in the first place.

  • im sorry, but id have to smother thm when they were a few days old put them out of there misery, no man women or child shud live like that...... i couldnt live my life that...... i do feel sorry for them though.....

  • I will never say that i ve problems. Thanks for sharing this.

  • at one university they have completed the first sucessful retina transplant on a human, where they have taken the part of the eyes that can see from someone who donated their eyes to science and made a blind person see again and for the first time you should try to look into it maybe it will help.

  • hey there! thanks for the comment on my page. Frankly, I have no idea how you do it. I am only total in my eyes. I do have a moderate amount of hearing loss on my left side but it hasn't impacted life much. about all I can say is DO NOT be over protective. let them experience everything.

  • Well, since the kids were BORN deaf and blind, they'll never have a sense of having "lost" their sight or hearing. Being deaf and blind will be normal to them. It's the parents who will suffer more!

  • Where is closed captioned?

  • I am blind and autistic but it sounds like you are a good mother are doing a good job

  • im a triplet and very thankful that me, my brother and sister dont have any problems. i was 8 weeks early. my sisters heart beat was too fast so they took us out. My sister was 900 grams. no joke. and i was 1 kilo. my brother was 1.5

  • im a triplet and very thankful that me, my brother and sister dont have any problems.

  • i do not mean to be rude but is there a reason why their eyes seem so dark and sunken in?

  • THERE ARE MILLIONS OF DEAF BLIND PEOPLE GETTING ALONG GRANDLY IN THE WORLD. THEY NEED MORE EDUCATION.

  • oh yeah i watched a documentary on these guys in class. O_o really need to find it cause my teacher zoomed through it to show us the main points we needed to learn about DeafBlind. But i wanted to watch the whole thing

  • how about we start capitalizing our "D's" in Deaf and save me alot of stress?

  • the government should step in and pay for the kids therapy

  • mrs.meehan's student was here. hahaha go NHS! anyways... this video was really intresting and it must be really hard not to deal with 1 but 3 deaf blind children. good luck with the three adorible girls :D

  • wow. they live off aughton drive? i live two streets away from that street in spring. i feel so bad that i didn't know they lived there.

  • this family would highly benefit from learning sign language. Tactile signing is a bridge of communication for deaf- blind people

  • @ZanePrior they do do that kind of signing but they girls only know a small number of signs because it takes them months to learn new ones.

  • They should have them put down.. its the humane thing to do

  • @watchit20110 I'd rather euthanize you... and judging by your YouTube favorites list, they have happier more productive lives than you do.

  • @aut0maticearth my youtube playlist is beast. thank you very much. i could live my entire life just getting around by reverse crabwalk and be 10 times more productive. you're rediculous. why were you looking at my favorites anyway?

  • @watchit20110 well rediculous is better than blueiculous I suppose... oh. ohhhh! You meant, ridiculous!? Well kiddo, I suggest you take some of that productivity and learn how to spell BEFORE you start passing life and death judgements on to others, disabled or not ;)

  • @watchit20110 and you would have thought of that for Stephen Hawking I suppose. Everyone has something to contribute, even you I suppose. So? why don't you get with the program and join the species?

  • sux

  • if they are blind why is one of the girls wearing glasses?

  • @LiPgLoSsGaLz To help them see, duh (jk).

  • @LiPgLoSsGaLz Two of the girls are totally blind so that means the one with the glasses can see some.

  • Hopefully advances in science will someday make it possible for people like these kids to see and hear after all. Who knows, with the rate at which technological advances are being made, maybe a solution is closer than we think.

  • She's named hooker?

  • @kludge11 prick

  • @flmae46

how does that make me a prick? if you were blind and deaf i'd definitley euthanize you to put you out of your misery.

  • They're so cute. (:

But why are there eyes like that? I met a few people who are blind but their eyes look normal.

  • @chelseapokaspots Their eyes are prosthetic.

  • @chelseapokaspots Their eyes are fake, other than the girl's with the glasses.

  • What the heck? Born 24 weeks too early? He must have meant AT 24 weeks because a baby can't survive at 16 weeks....

  • hi my name is Paul. i am deaf and autism. i just watch ur video. u are mother of them. i understand u tried help ur girls.

  • I commend the Courage of these parents who have been blessed thrice for a challenge.I am father of 11 years old Deaf-Blind immobile daughter with MR and a 16 year old Autistic son.

My frustration is how to impart a mode of communication with my daughter who cannot learn ASL ?School system has failed to impart.Still striving.

  • How much sign does your daughter have? Receptively does she take anything in from sign? and does she sign anything herself?

  • The girls are beautiful like their mom.

  • My husband and I were both born prematurely. I have partial sight and my husband sees light and shadows. Remember, you don't miss what you've never had. Also, on ASL, deafblind people don't learn traditional ASl because the must feel everything being said with their hands. As a disabled person you learn to adapt.

  • These kids have many challenges ahead. But, they have great potential. Mom, keep hanging in there.

  • Her original husband left her. What a prick.

  • they wont miss it i think.. its useless to talk to someone who was born blind/deaf about sights and sounds.

  • at least they don't have to worry about Hannah Montanna and the Cyrus family.....

  • I terribly disappointed the triplets don't sign ASL ..Look at Helen Keller who was Deaf and Blind become a well known woman and graduated from Radcliffe college (Harvard University). Sigh ... my heart goes out to the girls who don't sign and miss out a lot what's being said.

  • No caption or subtitle. So I can't watch that video. Dang!

  • Wow, and I though just being Blind is hard. I struggle enough as it is, and yet hearing stories like this make me realize how good I have it. I couldn't imagine not being able to hear as well. It would be so lonely. I know that they can still live normal lives. I am learning too. With lots of help, they can do anything they wish.

  • @FantasyFanatic911

Wow, you're blind and you spell better than 90% of Youtube. Makes one wonder what "handicapped" truly means.

  • Haha, well thank you. I guess it is because I never learned "chat speak" since it doesn't work with screen readers all that well. I'm happy that you could understand me! English isn't my native language. :-)

  • @FantasyFanatic911

If you only knew. You would think half of the internet didn't know how to speak they type so awfully. Hahaha! Glad you're still able to enjoy the internet and youtube. Technology is a wonderful thing. It can only get better too! Looking forward to the future, who knows what it will bring? Cheers!

  • @FantasyFanatic911 hello fellow screen reader user!I use a mac with VoiceOVer.

  • @VisionlessOne Hello there! I still need to know how to use VoiceOver. I use NVDA. Nice to see I'm not the only screen reader user on youtube. :-)

  • deaf-blind people live in the same world as hearing people, they may experience things differently but they life and go through and learn the same things as everyone else.

  • this woman is so strong.

    wow.

    god bless this family.

  • i think learning sign language will help enhance their language skills!! it may be tough teaching them at first because its a new language but it will help them express themselves and communicate!

  • They will learn braille & tactile sign language. Being deaf/blind does not mean they are not smart....One of my good friends is deaf/blind and he teaches other d/b people to use computers.

  • Guilt complex. She is emotionally suffering more than her children.

  • I wonder why you were not terminated after your were born without emotions. You can't contribute anything to the society eiter.

  • i saw your profile comments. youre the freak and a waste of time, air and food. be careful what you say you idiot, life is full of suprises.

  • Hitler much?

  • You're the next Hitler

  • @Orkimedies God forgive you....

  • this is so touching and sad but i wish the girls the best :(

  • its heartbreaking my best wishes to the girls

  • My heartwarming prayers are all for these children.

  • I just saw a recent documentary made on them, in 2008 I believe, and was amazed by the progress they had made. One of them was even attending regular classes, although a few grade levels behind.

I give so much credit to their mother and step father. So many others could not have handled this.

  • Please give a link to this..

  • My thoughts go out with them.. this really touched me..

  • if i was blind and deaf both i wouldnt want to live

  • How would you know whether you wanted to live or not if you were, for example, deaf and blind from birth?

  • So precious!!

  • Wheres will smith now?

  • have they mentioned if fertility treatment was used or if they are natural triplets?

  • I used tactile signing to a deaf and blind girl yesterday.

She was really nice and talkative.

  • aww poor things I am a triplet my sister had a brain bleed

  • god have reason we dont know why.. keep sign lanugage it best commucate im deaf and families strong deaf. we loves deaf culture i hope u will find some way for ur kids to know sign and more what match they can go to deaf blind school it best progam i suggest u it match what their needs..

  • Look up tactile signing, tracking and print on palm. These are communication methods used by the deaf-blind.

  • You can learn to sign when you're deaf blind. You can see their Intervener guiding their hands to make a sign.

  • you amaze me, if you would like to contact me i would love to support. I think you and your family will be an amazing one . so close. so full of love. God bless you. God gave you these children with these disabilities for a reason. They are your reason for living.

Thanks, and your in my prayers.

  • It's good to find a reason for everything. Thinking about being deaf and blind makes me want to believe in some God or reincarnation or an ultimate purpose, sadly I don't. But the dumbest thing to do is to laugh at severely handicapped people.

  • I know this family personally. George's mother and father are great grandparents, too. Liz and George are amazing.

  • this is so beautifle this is my gfourth time watching this video and i fell sorry for the two sisters becuse only the first blind one actully got threpy and shes getting to get to learn stuff like sign lanugage and she even gets to know her abc when i;m done with hihghshool at age twenty i plan on going to mcc for my degree as an autsm aid and then after i plkan on getting married then after hopefully adupting a kid that has autism

  • :( this makes me feel so bad, taking so much for granted

  • I used to watch Helen Keller ALL the time when I was like 3. It was my FAVORITE movie! I still watch it sometimes! I also have a friend who's family ALL has "SERIOUS" special needs! One has shaken baby syndrome, one is deaf, my lil sis has Autism an another syndrome. I work with my mom with kids with special needs. She is hoping to open a center for kids with AND without special needs! I love working with her! And remeber...kids like that are JUST like us...only with a little more "attention".

  • These Girls Talk By Signing with Our Hands and We talk to them The Same Way

  • Oh my goodness. I haven't read something so ignorant on youtube.

  • i work for that family , i and a few other people take care of the kids while there parents are working

  • Ann Sulivan spelled into Helen's hand complete sentences every time she spoke to her. While watching the video, I didn't see that the parents did that. Do they?

  • MY heart goes out to you and your family! They say God only gives us what we can handle. I'm sorry but I don't believe that like I used too. You may be handling life each day at a time, but I'm sorry you need some help and this country of ours better step up to the plate and cover help for you under insurance. You need someone to help you daily for the sake of your own well being as well as your older and your marriage. Best to you and yours, you deserve nothing but happiness honey! Deb

  • C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!

  • Omg i was feeling sorry for these kids then "Liz Hooker" comes up -_-'

    My friends called Liz Booker.

  • As parents you will need to learn sign language of course, tactile sign language like i use, sometimes when my vision is decent for the day i will use close-up modified sign language probably about 3 inches from my face hehe. For Braille, you can learn it by sight rather than by touch unless you are blind. Your children of course would learn it by touch since they cannot see it. I use Braille everyday and have specialized equipment such as my computer with a Braille display and many more things.

  • My twin and I are deaf-blind and use hearing aids and guide dogs/seeing-eye dogs Umbro and Mica. It is a difficult thing to live with sometimes especially in communications. We are in college now but still deal with modifications, disability services, rehabilitation and making sure our teachers know about our blindness and hearing impairment. Without hearing aids i have a 80% hearing loss and very limited vision and use sign language interpreters for lectures. I wish the best for the girls.

  • I am learning American Sign Language and very beginning Braille by touch. Please chat with me if you would like.

  • Deaf-blind and you can WATCH and LISTEN to videos.

    Okay.

  • Being deaf doesn't mean that you hear nothing. Being blind doesn't mean that you see nothing. Many deaf people can hear. Many blind people can see. They just can't see or hear as well as people with "normal" ranges of hearing and eyesight. It is possible for a deaf blind person to see and hear.

  • These girls will be gifted in other areas, and it is THEIR normal.. Maybe they wont see the sunset, but they will feel it!

  • They will always have stronger other senses. They can enjoy a rain by the fresh smell. Food probably tastes extra yummy to them. They can feel and enjoy life other ways.

  • That is such a sweet comment.... :)

  • What the heck? Born 24 weeks too early? He must have meant AT 24 weeks because a baby can't survive at 16 weeks....

  • @silvaaa70 r ASL teacher liked your comment on this vieo soooooo much that as one of are hw questions we have to write a response to... so besides on my paper i just wanted to tell you that your comment is pure poetry. and made me look at this video in a different way and now this video makes more sense. thank so much for your comment its the best one on this page :D

  • I got the chills!

  • I am so fortunate and i pray for the world for this mom.

  • Aww im sorry...

(Liz hooker is a funny name...My name is liz lol thats why)

  • What a great step father!

  • Dear god, give these parents the strength to continue, it's amazing what love can do

  • Dear Mother,

My dad is deaf and blind and is the most inspriational person I know. He is so able to do so much. He is so independent and great. It is important that the children learn sign language, HANDS UP. If you want advice or anything from my dad I am sure he'd be happy to email with you. We are here in MN, feel free to contact me. Good luck.

  • I think that those girls with the right help, will become outstanding citizens that will have alot of insight to offer to all of us. God bless them!

  • I agree - bad enough to have one child that is deafblind but all three! But with parents like these, they will be an inspiration to all of us who take sight and hearing for granted. I'm profoundly deaf and having problems now with one of my eyes - have had 2 major operations and that eye is for all purposes blind, but at least my good eye is enough, with spectacles, to drive. These three won't have that.

  • All I can say is WOW. God Bless that mother.

  • So true. Glad Dr. Phil's team became involved and helped. The mom is an absolute inspiration!
