I love these comments like no one is allowed to play jazz except on a "Jazz Box" Who ever thinks that is owned by Les Paul 20 years ago when he jammed with his buds Tal Farlow and John Pizzarelli . LP was evolution of the guitar there are always these mainstreamers who have all kinds of rules they think you have to imitate Pat Metheny to get in a A list Wedding band .Les Paul would have laughed at you !

Sarà che non sono uno jazzista - anzi, non ne so veramente NIENTE - però a me sembra che voi guardiate il chitarrista in faccia invece che ascoltarlo per giudicare se ci sta mettendo cuore o meno. Tecnica perfetta, pulizia eccellente, diciamo dal punto di vista "scolastico" perfetto. Dal punto di vista della musica onestamente non mi esalta più di tanto (anche se mi piace il jazz), ma sembra di sentir suonare un libro di esercizi almeno quando suoni jazz o fusion.

The jazz greats and the phrasing they used, were the foundation for such technique but it was not the technical impression, that was the focus. it was the color and expression of such intuition, for the music.

This is really amazing playing but as a listener you get kind of a "I can play so fast picture" when you play. This is awesome for showing of but if you'd make a cd out of it then you'd have to focus more on the phrasing and melodics:)
