I love this tune by Floyd. The whole album is great. Gets overshadowed by Dark Side of the Moon and Wish you were here. This is awesome with headphones. Be sure to listen to Echoes with phones on in a dark room. By far one of the best bands to get lost with in their music. Been my favorite band ever since i heard Wish you were here back in the 70's. Got so many memories of the times, the friends, and Floyd. I will never tire of their music. I will be in my 70's and still rockin with Pink

It's been a while, but if memory serves me correctly the album was supposed to be called "Metal". It was a band joke that the album was a heavy metal album. When they were making final decisions for the album they were touring in Japan(I believe) and when they told the person the name of the album because of the bad phone connection he thought they said "Meddle". You may want to check my recollections they may be wrong.
