  • Dear Mr. Brandon: I was struck from another video - you mentioned redemption as a missing concept in the Objectivist framework. It seemed a profound observation. If youve addressed this elsewhere in depth, I would appreciate being directed to the effort. If you havent, in a dedicated book I would guess drawing on your own life lived so much in an Objectivist framework would provide considerable material to put meat on the bones of this powerful insight.

    Well I think that is incorrect. The concept of redemption is clearly given in the character of Gail Wynand. It says that you stop doing the wrong things, you need to start fresh, you need to do the right things(without brooding over the past). It was the moment in the book when Wynand had to make the choice of supporting Howard(the right thing) and consequently shutting his paper or to give up. He gave up. It was also the moment when Dominique left him. Now wasn't that clear!!!
