I think there are some interesting lessons to be learned, but i look at them much more as guidelines and philosophies than something that should govern my life.

I loved it too! I just graduated this past year, and my HS was a middle school as well, so I've been in Marching Band since 8th grade. Best 5 years of my life so far.
