i wished you dropped the sixteenth notes at the beginning, from 0:30-1:07, really embellishing the violin. it may be cool if you bring out the melody voices or pull the backgrounds back a little bit. and kick it into full gear and really have some loud and full chords at the impact point at 3:25!!!! add more dynamics and youre in business.

Alright this rendition is fine. If you were going to use this in, say, a musical production this would be a better bet than VSQ, it's very melodic and more than likely easier to play (I'm a musical theatre/piano girl, can't play strings to save my life). Also, as great as the guitar solo is, you can't really play that in a melodic sense, it's all or nothing.

As for VSQ's version, yes it is definitely played at tempo, which most give them credit for, and is a direct rendition (which is amazing!)

A computer is an instrument too, and just because it's been produced with one doesn't mean you stuck-up elitists can dismiss it from the scene entirely. No matter what instruments (or lack of) they used, it's still a great piece of music that took as much effort to compose as using old fashioned methods.

The fact of the matter is that real violins sound better than computer violins do. And a computer can't be called an instrument by general terminology since your not using any of your skill to do what you need done. It's a copy and paste job. Composing on a computer is fine, using the computer to rehash a song and call it a strings tribute is just slander to real musicians.

@heavensonfire1 their not midi's their actually comverted with a very complicated synthesizer. and most of them do sound pretty good. you can very well tell that their not real instruments. they never claim it to be. some of the later ones have more volume and realistic conversion and synthesization of sounds. most people cannot access these synthesizers themselves much less work the software. so I consider this user to be a good service to us all.
