@Goober0202 thanks, that means alot. however this was over 4 years ago now. i have improved quite alot since then, in both picking and vibrato/bends. i try to do what alot of metal guitarists these days dont, which is keep that element of blues, and melody in my playing. alot of people can alternate pick really fast and smooth, but sound like crap when it comes to vibrato and bends, which in my opinion is more important. thanks. \m/

hey yeah i did in the end, this was what seems a looooooong time ago now.

thanks for the advice on the backing tracks, what i do now is download the guitar pro tabs and export the midi file, then import just the drum tracks to a sequencer and thenr ecord my own bass. but i just get more of a kick myself when i listen to the original song, especially if its a band like pantera, because they have such a unique sound thats so hard to recreate, plus it can get boring without vocals. \m/

This was a few years ago when i used to use a crap webcam that barely worked when i wanted it to.

The audio is recorded with a microphone from a very cheap headset, i just placed the headphones in a spot in my room where it would pick up the sound from my amp and my stereo speakers for the music.
