  • "Freedom Cages" LMAO They'd like us to think cages bring freedom. Too bad we aren't farm animals...

  • the freedom cages lol

  • WAR IS PEACE

    FREEDOM IS SLAVERY

    IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH - Orwell

Don't be a prole. Fight the power!!

  • lol freedom cages. Thats the American dream allright

  • LOL... freedom CAGES...

  • Fuck you I won't do what you tell me!

  • More people need to get involved and protest against our WTO owned government! No longer is this a country by, and for the people, it's simply owned by Corporations that dictate policy!

  • A call to rise! Watch "National Security Alert"

  • lol i think its funny how racism was the big problem...now it's kicking gingers...times have changed xD

  • true..true

  • God why cant u whining fucking hippies shut up and get a job, the only reason you are doing this is becaus eu either cant get a job or you are too fucking lazy to work, well off people dont get money for no reason, they WORK! and yes i know that word scares you lazy hippies. WORK

  • What a slave to the system you are.

  • lmao what a faggot you are, i bet u typed this message in a internet cafe which was built intirerly from recycled products.....tramp

  • Actually I was in my house but anyway, Why not have a cafe made of recycled products? Seems like that would be the smart way to make buildings

  • because recycled products would make shit structurs for buildings. i would go on on why it would be bad in a constructive point of veiw but i don't want to waste my time. seriously tho, why cant you people see by trying to obtain peace and all that shit, you are just causing problems for people who have worked hard for their money. And if your one of those anti-war fruits, (just saying to anyone else who reads this not just you) its the soldier's own choice to goto war.

  • Wrong and wrong. Go back to school, you know the schools you work so hard to have and then whine about having to pay taxes to fund. You could easily make a cafe out of recycled products since many products can be recycled and turned into new products, like steel and aluminum, and even wood based products. Its also not the soldiers choice to go to war. He or she is ordered. Even if it is an illegal war. You could find many soldiers who have done many tours that would tell you they dont want to go

  • @jimmycrbhead

Funny how anyone who protests anything is a hippie. Well the founders of this nation were hippies too then. Jesus was a hippie. ghandi was a hippie. MLK Jr. was a hippie. If anything that is a nice thing to say. So thank you cause im one of those whining hippies. Oh and I have a job.

  • plus, anyone who thinks this is anti-democracy or anti-america is ignorant. it's a non violent protest! wtf do you think freedom of speech is? Ill quote one of America's founding fathers, Thomas Jefferson, in saying "dissent is the highest form of patriotism"

  • This IS what democracy is about!!! Voice you fucking opinion, no matter how different. IT'S NOT YOUR RIGHT, IT'S YOUR OBLIGATION!!!! Obama's no better than any of the other puppets that "run" the show. Look a little farther down the line people. Banks run this motherfucker and always have. JFK found out the hard way not to fuck with the system. He tried to audit the Federal Reserve and the powers that be stopped that with three bullets. WAKE UP!!!!!! R.I.P. U.S.A.

  • bush was in office for 8 years b/c the people elected him, regardless of majority vote since that's the system that's been in place since the birth of the US, so stop saying he shouldn't have ever been president b/c we voted him in! and to say that MAJORITY of people voted for mccain b/c they didn't want a black man is ridiculous. sure there're some, but not the majority. people didn't vote for obama b/c of universal healthcare and his philosophy of spending a shit ton to get out of a recession.

  • actually bush was not elected the first time. If you actually look at the facts, bush lost florida after all the votes were counted. The supreme court had already decided in his favor though.

  • @benny5789 Someone should make a Movie about how Gore really won, hey Michael you make movies don't you......? ( lol )

  • @METALMAN4Wii He didn't really win, not with the American electoral system, just the popular vote - that is, the majority of voters favored him, but the distribution of support was such that he lost th Electoral College. So, in a democracy, he would've won, but the founders established the Electoral College for one reason or another that screwed the public out of what they wanted (and has on other occasions, as well).

  • i agree totally, McCain and Bush should never have been allowed NEAR such power, especially with America sitting on the nucLEAR button (yes george, thats why im angry, say it right or dont be in charge of it!). worryingly though, much of America voted for McCain (which is just against nature!) purely just to stop a black man from being president, which, to me, is scarily narrow-minded considering America's power in the world!

  • unfortunately, and very worryingly, many americans were doing the extreme deed of voting for McCain just to keep a black man from being the president. scary huh! but yea, i agree, people like bush and McCain shouldnt be allowed NEAR

  • dont just blame the republicans, Dems and Republicans are both the problem. AS long as politics is decided by the corporations, there will be no freedom or peace

  • mindless tool

  • pinko is an offensive term don't use it, and how is this what democracy looks like? this accomplished nothing? Democracy means majority rule, unless the majority of Americans support the Iraq war, democracy was dead until Obama was elected.

  • haha pinko is offensive... haha comeon moonman540 be real if a communist or socialist or marxist is offended by someone calling them a pinko then their are a fucking baby. its more offensive that people dont know what the fuck being communist, socialist or marxist mean in the first place, dont you think? Im not trying to be a douche, but if someone calls me a pinko, id much rather call them a Sheepish fascist and get on with my day

  • While I would be surprised if anyone got offended by the term (I'm a libertarian socialist, I don't find it offensive), the point remains that it is a derogatory term. Someone might not be offended by the words "nigger", "Kyke", or "fag", but they're still demeaning.

and yes, I agree people are idiots when it comes to political ideologies, in particular North-Americans.

  • Agreed. people shouldn't be the bigots they are, pushing bigotry creating volatile hierarchies

and I feel like demeaning someone's political ideology differs from racial/ethnic slurs which are more explicitly derogatory. So to make that connection isn't quite accurate in my opinion.

the only way Pinko is just offensive to ME personally, is because of the red scare and how easily people were taken into fascism and anti-communist hysteria causing countless innocent imprisonments.

  • by that logic religious insults are also not the same as ethnic slurs.

So if someone called me a "kyke", that wouldn't be so bad?

  • i was there

  • Yah me to, I called in sick to work for this.

  • Knew* and you're*.

    Loser.

  • This march was pretty bad. It was full of communist and 911 truthers. It was also over 3 miles from the concert to the Pepsi Center, and a lot of people were fainting from heat exhaustion.

If it was strictly anti-war, I would have been all for it, but not when a bun of wacko pinko nut jobs are ruining the public image of the whole thing.

  • Stupid hick, go fuck your cousin.

  • ure what I call a piece of shit that cannot actually see the problems we face as a country right in front of your eyes. I have met a soldier that lost his leg from an explosion in Iraq...and the govt isnt doing shit to help him and others like him get back to a normal way of life. Wake Up asshole

  • and so you can see....the brothers and sister they are use the brain in the staates......you are not allone!!! europe will help you

  • warbound04 is a dumbass who thinks america is perfect in every way...I'm american, and I know that america is far(FAR<FAR<FAR) from perfect, and I'm completely aware of other countries who hate us.

Yeah, and RATM is the shit.

  • Ofcourse this country is not perfect, not even close. We can't even get over race and color. We have homless men and woman wondering the streets looking for food, while their are rich fuckers with millions of dollars. People think just because we elected a colored man as our president, the country is perfect. Not even close, and probably never will be with what this country is like.

  • haha well actually im a part beaner so your logic isnt doing too well right now.

  • thank you for proving my point..

  • fuckin pigs

  • Wow, that is such a totalitarian statement.

  • RATM has so much fuckin power its crazy...hell of a band

  • freedom cages....?

  • exactly, anti-iraqi-war is pro terrorism and pro violence. Bush liberated the iraqis from Hussein, one of the most evil men to have ever lived. how many terrorist attacks have there been since september 11th, 2001?????? so you guys listen to rage? well then WAKE UP!!!! WAKE UP!!! get your facts straight instead of just ranting about God knows what

  • i hope that was sarcasim (i don't know how to spell that). The reason i say that is because of this: WHO THE FUCK LET US BE ATTACKED? THATS RIGHT, BUSH. in closing, SEVEN MINUTES! your comment makes me wanna shove my head in a freezer to see if i can reach the same level of ignorance as you

  • how can one man stop an attack u fucking idiot.. especially a hijacking of a plane. what, by denying people the right to get on planes due to the fact that they look suspicious? get fucking real.

  • thats what their are doing now isnt it?

  • damn, I´m proud of you over there. this shows, that there are still lots of people in the us of a that still care about freedom.

    greetings from germany

  • your 16 stfu

  • OK, I am not American, but warbound are you retarded? How could you support a war that is not needed? Especially when it is led by that twat you call a president. And before you start on the UK, I know it has a shithole of a government, but at least we don't tell the public there are WMDs in Iraq, then march in there just for oil saying "oops we made a mistake. No WMDs here" Retard, I agree with Anthony

  • well Blair did agree with Bush saying that Iraq had WMD's, didnt he??

  • And for that, I think he is a twat

  • pepsi center...... Pepsi center...... FUCKEN PEPSI CENTER!

  • @0llkllk0 Pepsi's the generation and the new generation doesn't want a pointless war......!

  • take a look around there is no such thing as freedom. you are retarded.its retards like you that make this country look bad.

  • Holey shit, I've been had by a troll. Good on you, sir.

  • Warbound: Well, I wasn't aware this was YOUR country. What an idiotic thing to say.

I didn't say anything about my politics, funnily enough. I just said your incendiary comments were foolish. Now why don't you go masturbate to pictures of Rush Limbaugh.

  • hah nicely said my friend.... :)

  • some of them WERE troops you A-Hole! Iraq Vets against the war? does that sound fucking familiar!

  • Why are you here warbound? You politics are obviously converse to the people that will be posting on this video. You're here to incite anger for no reason. Enjoy your douche bag status.

  • god i love RATM! Come back guys!

    BRING BACK RATM!

  • I think they've been touring again for almost a year. I'm not sure, but I think they did a concert in Minneapolis a few months ago.

  • i wish the philippines has a band like RATM.

  • You don't have to wish, because RATM speaks for the whole world.

  • They work from within the system to destroy it. Doesn't mean they're part of the system, just that they're using greed against itself.

    Anyways, "TROOPS OUT NOW!"

  • RATM kicks ass and these people have every right to protest as long as its peacful..but it makes me wonder if they would still vote...and who would they vote for...for people who don't want war at all, voting for Obama would probably be in their favor..unless they are not gonna vote which is sad.

  • why vote for puppets?

    new puppets same puppet masters

we as a people have the right to revolt

is tow people fighting ever gonna get anything done?

no, we have three branches of government for check and balances so no one will have power over the other and so that we don't have a stand still and get nothing done and we have only(major) two political parties

even one of our founding father, Washington said that the two party system wasn't good? does anyone listen to wise man?

  • idiot, y would their be an incident if one side swears on peace. Peacefule demeonstraters dont cause incedents. They just dont get it, or never will.

  • Me and my brother skipped school to go to that concert and we were in the protest.

  • good for you

  • fuck you

  • is rage coming to new york?

  • man i fuckin hope so, but i doubt it. not anytime soon at least. But Tom Morello "The Nightwatchman" is going to be in albany,NY on Sept. 20

  • I was there when he played, It was at lark fest fucking amazing show. played some rage songs his own way (ghost of tom joag, guerilla radio) all acoustic it was sick.

  • freedom cages??? explain that>

  • well its kind of like the cop's "freedom sticks" or their "freedom cabs" LOL!!!!!

  • maybe the vets saw how horrible it was and don't want anymore young met and women to see the tragedy that is over there since we fucked it up.

  • Take your country back America!

  • freedom cages? are u serious?

"come march like sheep" does that ring a bell? they try to keep the ones that kno whats goin on seperate from the brainwashed. The peace sign shows division.....a fist in the air means UNITY...."A FIST IN THE AIR IN THE LAND HIPOCRACY!"

  • I believe the people have the right to be there especially when they are unarmed and they aren't hurting anyone. I don't think its wrong when they are just expressing their opinions.

  • freedom cages?? lol xD

  • i was at that concert it was freaking loud!!

  • OMFG!! The leftwing anarchist conspiracy nutjob traitors can actually meet and congregate in peace?! What is this world coming to?! Power to the people.

  • Oh I see, it was a setup by the DNC. Cause a big roit then blame it on Bush.

As a life long democrate, I can't back such B/S. This years democrates have become scum and will back stab all the people of America. Then laugh about it later.

  • You cant have been a "democrate" that long if you cant even spell it. Sorry.

  • im no bush fan, but to call rage against the machine "pro-usa pro-freedom" is just ridiculous. their political ideas are all inspired by communism and socialism. what they call for in their music and their writings in precisely the opposite of freedom, and definitely not what america is or ever has been about.

  • what the hell are you talking about have you not heard RATM's song freedom it in the god damn name. the are not pro-usa but they mos def pro-freedom. this is coming from a fellow socialist.

  • Freedom cages????!!!! Give me a fucking break!! Does anyone honestly think true patriots like these brave people marching against the war are going to have their first ammendment rights confined to assigned boundries ways away from the DNC??? Great job to everyone who went out and demonstrated peacefully, and didn't let the authorities tell them where they could or couldn't migrate!

  • freedom zone wtf?!?!?!

    ughhhh

isnt free speech in the constitution

and dont we have the right to like

    stand outside the arena

apd protest without cops breathing down our next?

    wtf?

    think before you vote.

  • In my opinion a free speech "zone" is in itself unconstitutional.

  • LOL anyone really think the people that they want their messege across to heard abit of it. Or even care.

I see them as a bunch of layoff workers with alot of time on their hands. Or hoping the get to see themselves on youtube or the news.

But really it just shows how many cowards are willing to protest togather.

  • fuck you you faggot it is called freedom of speech you homo

  • Ah another kid that don't understand what "freedom of speech" means.

it don't mean freedom of blocking traffic, freedom to block other people from doing what they want, it don't mean if you don't like Demacrates to do want you want to get your message across.

There are limites, but people as you want to cross that line and say it's a right. If you want to stand on a street corner and speak your mind and not block a byway. Go for it. But as a mass group there are many rules and laws to follow.

  • How about the rules and laws in the Constitution regarding who can declare war? How about rules and laws in the Constitution regarding freedom from unwarranted wiretaps. When our government treads so blatantly on on our rights and freedoms, protesting is all we have. If it takes blocking some traffic to get the point across, so be it. Those of us who risk arrest in a peaceful manner to make our opinions known are true patriots. You can go bury your head in the sand when it's over if you want.

  • ......limit the right to peaceably assemble, or limit the right to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

    Doesn't say anything about traffic.

  • Yeah, I do think that we got the message across. The goal of the march was to deliver a written message of peace to the convention, and IVAW did just that. Former Texas Lt Governor Ben Barnes came out to speak with IVAW, and eventually representatives from the Obama campaign accepted the message.

The fact that you see a group of decorated veterans as 'a bunch of layoff workers' is rather revealing. You probably have a 'support our troops' sticker on your car, don't you?

  • Don't have nothing for Former Texas Lt Governor Ben Barnes. He is just another socialist. Never care for the prick.

Oh without all the bullshit, "ever hear of the US Mail. could have just mailed the letter.

And not have a bunch of exmilitary cowards march in front. Just to show the world how much a coward they really are.

  • YOU SAID IT!!

  • Anyone else find the term "Freedom cages" a remarkable example of an oxymoron?

  • The term 'freedom cage' was a joke that people were using to describe the designated area for protesters, it's not what the authorities were calling it.

  • Provocateurs must have been scared of this crowd. I'm glad to see a mass protest can be enacted by real people with a real message. My hat is off to everyone there who said "No thanks" to the "UN-free speach zones"

  • speech typo sry

  • There were too many of us, and it was just too obvious that the crowd was made up of regular people that are sick of the war, rather than raging violent anarchists. As we marched through the streets we were getting a lot of sympathy from other regular people going about their day in downtown Denver. People sitting out on their lunch breaks clapping for us and holding up peace signs. Some people were out shopping and saw us coming and decided to join us too.

  • Nazi Germany had freedom cages to

  • breaking out without a incident!!!??! AGENT PROVOCATEUR run by the police state cause those riot NOT THE PROTESTER! looks like they did not used those agent provocateur this time to marginalize US the people, the protester who only fight for is god given right! if you are looking for some proof of agent provocateur google spp metting at montebello in canada. THe canadian police had to admit that they did use those agents to push the protester away from the event so the media cant report on it.

  • check out my site for a video that tells what message the leaders of this protest were getting across

  • watch?v=1UEOZGFzPas

  • The Denver Officials Had Excessive Power To Stop Any Non-Approved Demonstration. The Rage/IVAW March Didn't Even Seek Approval. The Officials Made The Right Move By Letting Them March For Hours, Stopping Traffic And Gathering A Crowd of Over 5,000 People Near The Pepsi Center. If They Attempted To Stop It There Would Be More Proof That There Is No Freedom To Protest.

  • The People were being led into CAGES?!?!?!

    WHAT?

  • It Was Called The Freedom Cage. They Wanted To Regulate All Protest Activity To A Fenced Area Where Protesters Would Not Be Seen or Heard. U.S. District Judge Marcia Krieger Ordered That There Be Running Water And Bathroom Facilities. Neither Were There.

Denver Officials Went Against Court Orders To Spite Protesters. It Didn't Work Though, The Protesters Demonstrated Everywhere But The Freedom Cage.

  • Freedom cages. I guess the irony of that statement is lost on some people.

  • I'm sure the denver pigs were just praying for something to happen, so the world could see the colorado police state in action. hell, not that I'd want the marchers to get hurt, but I'd love to have seen the den pd show the world how f'ed up and abusive they really are. they must be really holding back

  • This was a peaceful, completely non-violent march that was meant to honor and support our veterans while protesting the war. There were 3 stated objectives: 1) end the war 2) increase veterans benefits 3) make reparations to the Iraqi people. I was proud to march with some of our nations finest young men and women. Anyone trying to discredit either the soldiers OR the marchers here doesn't have enough balls to be either.

  • LOL @ the "Freedom Cages"

  • Great vid!

  • omgzzzz protesting w/out violence... shocking, right mr. newsman? i hate that all of a sudden america thinks that protest = riot. it is usu the presence/violence of police that spark that shit and i am glad that these protesters did not fall prey to any of that (AND managed to stay out of the cages, FTW)!

  • Geez, demonstrations just aren't what they use to be. Where have all the rebels gone, long time passing.

  • you're an idiot who marches with no one

  • says the civilian

  • They're protesting the Iraq war, bud.

Also, USA involvment in WWII was sketchy in a few ways. I'm not discrediting the armed forces at all, I'm just pointing out some governmental decisions.

  • I like how you explain that Code Pink believes "all marines are baby killers" when everyone knows it's the Air Force and Coast Guard that murder babies.

And also, good way to prove your point by portraying marines as not being murderers when you call for Code Pink to be "lined up and shot".

    Tool.

  • We were actually marching with Marines, Army, Navy and Air Force servicemen & women. I spoke with several of these young men and women and were proud to march with them. The members of RATM saluted them before playing their concert.

We got into WWII to STOP someone else's preemptive war! That is something that is not said enough. And as far as your "lined up and shot" comment...that kind of ignorant fascist thinking is what our brave men and women risked their lives fighting the Nazis to stop.

  • I was about to post the same information, then read your post.

  • God bless RATM, In a world that is being destroyed by the very ones who should be protecting it, RATM can stand tall and say "We do this for the people". Maximum respect due.

  • pepsi center and the freedom cages...fucking aye...fucking aye....

  • Dude, RATM ARE corporate. They were on SONY for years. Corporate rebels. I'm wondering if Zack ,Tim, Tom, or Brad joined in on the march? That said, the band ROCKS.

  • they're corporate so that they can get there message out to more people. its so hard to be underground and be heard by mass populations of people.

  • Well.. now we have internet, they shouldn't sign a contract anymore with a corporation. They must use P2P to send their songs, they have enough money to live!. At least, I hope so.

  • I just love it. Power to the people.Corporate media sucks.

  • lmfao this idiot almost sounds disappointed at the end when he has nothing bad to report on "looks like it may be breaking up without inceident"

  • Yeah...that's the thing with these people...they can't stand the thought of peace.

  • My God I wish I was there.

  • RATM: "It has to start somewhere, it has to start somehow. What better place than here, what better time than now?"
